Question for those who had their incision sites glued?

Recommended Posts

I know most people talk about stitches but my incision sites were "super glued". I'm day 4 post-op and they look great but it's like there's a circle (maybe the glue?) drying up arond each site. Like maybe it might just peel off? Anyone have any experience with this?

Yep in a few weeks mine came off. My surgery almost scraped them off. Talk with your doctor!

Same for me.......glue and stri-strips and band-aids. By the third week, most of it had worked its way off. The steri-strip residue will come off with something oily, like baby oil, olive oil, etc. The only issue I had with the incisions was a couple of blisters from the band-aids, but they have healed, too.

I didn't have anything over mine...band aids or steri strips. Sounds like it's just glue residue

It will wear off on it's own. When mine peeled easily without pulling on the skin my Dr told me I could remove it. No big deal.

I had 5 incisions. The 4 small ones were glued. The largest incision was glued and had 2 stitches. My doc removed the stitches on my first monthly visit.

Just glued. My grand-daughter thought it was cute. She kissed and touched it. By the end of 1.5 weeks it just fell off, I have no idea where, it just disappeared. My scars are not bad either, very minimal

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
