Hello warriors!! I had a super busy day and got a ton of stuff done. Laundry, legal stuff, paid some bills, got my car appraised at CarMax (seriously, $1500 trade value? sheesh!), bought a gift for my mother, bought two dresses, a sweater and a pair of shoes for me ????, saw a movie with my bestie (Age of Adeline -- loved it), and managed to do all of this on two cups of chili and two large iced Decaf coffees for the entire day. Not the best food plan, but by the time I got home, I just felt like waiting for tomorrow to eat won't be such a bad idea.

I'm having an early Mother's Day brunch out tomorrow, so I'll likely have a bit more food than usual. I'm committing here and now to pass on the champagne.

I'm tired just reading this!

Hope you're all doing well. One more week until my eldest daughter comes home from St. Louis, and 12 days until my baby returns from her semester abroad in Spain. The countdown has begun! I can't wait to hold her in my arms again.

This momma is going to have a very happy Mother's Day week!

Happy Monday, peeps!!

Well, I'm going to try something new. I'm going to do like you, @@JustWatchMe, and eat without logging it. I'm tired of the weekend binge roller coaster. I feel like I spend all week undoing the damage I did over the weekend. I'm going to quit limiting, quit counting & weighing, quit the guilt. I'm going back to the way I lived when I first had my band. I didn't weigh, didn't measure, didn't count carbs or calories. I ate off of a small saucer, only when I was hungry, and had Protein first. I was extremely successful, stopped binging, and was satisfied with slow and steady loss. Shoot, it got me 130 pounds lost. I've since gained 20 and I want off the roller coaster before that turns to 30, then 40, etc. I am starting today and I have to admit that it feels like I'm back in control already. I'm going to weigh in on a monthly basis at my LB doc too, just like I did years ago.

How are you guys???

When we need a change, we change it up. Not a lifetime commitment. Just a new approach today. Good luck. I'll bet it helps.

I do log sometimes now but only when I really don't know the calories in something. However, if I'm eating the usual boring standbys then I know the numbers.

The first bank deposit from NSETBEx came in today. Four days late but it came. I'm having weird emotions about it but I'll talk it over with my therapist tonight. Glad to have that support.

My Sunday was a delectable brunch with a wide selection of Desserts. Holy moly. I sampled everything but amazingly left a lot on my plate. I didn't feel the need to finish it all. Too much sugar left me a little sluggish. No champagne.

I caved and ordered my Thai curry noodles for supper but the restaurant screwed up and gave me rice. Lol. Therefore it wasn't as bad for my diet as it could have been because I only ate a little of the rice. I really love the noodles.

Today back on track and back to Protein. Lots of Water too. One more set of stairs to go.

I'm considering joining a gym for strength training. I don't know. Just tossing that idea around.

Hello all! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I spent it working in the yard and chasing my grandson! Loved it! My eating wasn't perfect but it wasn't horrible!

@@JustWatchMe I bet you're excited to have the kids home! I hope things are calming for you and your divorce!

@s_suther. Not logging might not be a bad idea. You can still plan but don't obsess about all the numbers...I hope you find the balance your are looking for.

I just keep yoyoing with the same couple of pounds....I wish I could remember exactly how I did things in the beginning. I probably could use a small bit in my band but I'm trying to manage without it.

Today....

Protein Shake

S- -cheddar stick

L- 1 slice of pizza (yes I lectured myself

D-rib, pinto Beans, ccucumber salad

Have a blessed day!

That's how I have been doing it for over 4 years...I've developed a new lifestyle, not a slave to dieting

HOWEVER...

I could not do it were it not for the band being my safety net. The band sets my appetite, controls my hunger, sets my portion sizes - food intake, etc.

Following that lifestyle on it's own without the band performing properly would be no different than before I had surgery, and would be self destructive..

Hi, everybody!! Day 1 of no logging worked like a charm. Since I've been logging for almost a year, I have a pretty good idea how many carbs & calories, but there was freedom in not logging. I also found that I didn't obsess like I have been and just ate when hungry; it lead to a very successful, strong day. I appreciate your words of encouragement and support SO MUCH!! :D

Yesterday was 2 shakes w/fiber, a P3 for lunch, and 4 one-ounce meatballs with a little sauce for dinner. I got in all of my Water and walked for an hour yesterday. BOOM!

Today will be very similar, but with salsa chicken for dinner.< /p>

@@JustWatchMe - I'm not sure what NSETBEx means, but I'm guessing it's the ex. I'm glad you received what you're due. I hope all went well with the therapist last night and you got some things off your chest.

2babutterfly - It was a huge relief not to obsess over the numbers all day. I felt much more relaxed and in control. I ate small Protein portions when I was hungry and didn't eat when I wasn't. Imagine that?!?! I just told my husband yesterday that I wish I could remember exactly how I did things in the beginning too. Great minds and all that!

I'm in the midst of cleaning house. Not my strong suit. I just wanted to pop in here to say hello and check on you ladies. Take care of you!

Hey, hey, hey!!! Are we making it happen today?

I had another successful day yesterday. 8 oz shakes for Breakfast and snack, low sugar sloppy joes for lunch, and salsa chicken for dinner. We started late, but managed a 40 minute walk last night. I also got in all of my Water.

Today will be very similar. I'll get in my Water & Protein and take a walk this evening.

How are you?

I'll check back later. Have a swell hump day and take care of you.

Doing well here. food was clean yesterday. Only got 2/3 of my stairs in. Looking into gyms. I want the scale to move and it ain't gonna happen without working out. I have a CODA meeting tonight so that will be affirming. Breakfast was bacon, lunch will be chicken strips, dinner uncertain. Maybe fish.

Well, I joined a gym and start with a personal trainer tomorrow. I'm so darned excited I can't stand it.

Today was a great day. I went to a local restaurant alone for dinner and ordered perch. Leaving food on my plate wasn't even hard. I think I might finally be getting the hang of listening to my band.

I would be excited too. I LOVE working with a trainer! Enjoy!

I'm glad to hear it was such a great day!!

I had a good day. I ate OP yesterday and took a nice walk in the evening. I'm having some reflux the last couple of nights, not sure why, and am going to all liquids today to see if that helps. I don't know what's causing this sudden onset, so it does have me a little concerned. I just had that barium swallow test, so I'll assume all is well with my band and it's just irritation or something temporary. Any and all suggestions / opinions are appreciated!!

Have wonderful day and take care of you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
