Oh but I am having new issues with acne. Went from mild to moderate these past few weeks. Nodules on face and scalp. Never had scalp issues before. Ick. Looking at Accutane for treatment.

Ugh I can't wait til I'm in the onederland numbers. I still have so far to go and it is taking a long time mentally but in reality I know it is not bad at all. I started going to the gym this week for 90 mins of cardio and I do 50 mins of strength training with my trainer. I have manage to burn off more then what I eat every day which I think pushed me over my stall. THANK GOODNESS....I really don't seem to mentally handle the stalls very well. I know I should be patient cause I tell others to but man it is really annoying. I did take my monthly pics and I can not see the different but I def can feel the difference. I'm down three pant sizes and I can fit into old clothes but in the pic I just can not see a difference. I think that will be the best NSV for me when I can really see a difference. I'm super proud of everyone on this thread. I think we are all doing so well. A year ago I did not think I would ever see this weight again and I'm glad I finally decided to take my life back and break up with my addiction to food, Well, I'll always be addicted but now I have learned how to fight it!

@@Veronica Page Trust me when I say that you'll be the last to notice how much your body has changed. Body dysmorphia is common. One day you'll be 100 lbs lighter and finally say "That totally happened!" Last time I was at this weight I felt fat. Now I feel smaller which is great. Also swimming in my clothes. I'm still wearing them though so my brain hasn't quite caught up. I look at shirts that actually fit me now and it doesn't compute.

I know isn't it nuts....? When I was this weight last and noticed I was like ew what it is going on i'm gross. Which is weird cause I allowed myself to still gain an extra 50lbs. Now I feel so much but and my clothes do feel larger I just want to look in the mirror and say wow I really can see the difference. I will be patient and not even think about it anymore!

I feel like I am losing no weight in my stomach area! My face, chest and arms look smaller. It is very annoying, I wore a 26/28 and now have fit into some 18/20 but I have these Capri pants size 22 that I can't fit into! Super annoying!!

@@Veronica Page Sounds to me like you're having Water weight fluctuations. I hate trainers that do that, work youtill you can't move It's horrible for morale and almost guarantees a break in motivation. My stomach is also a slow loser. I'm usually an all over gainer/loser but this time my tummy has been stubborn. Has to do with it being a surgery site. Closet the scale. It's the only way.

Yea I have just once a week weigh in from the trainer and I'm not losing tummy wweight which is a bummer but I guess It will come off when it's suppose to. It is hard not to move after working out but I haven't used my muscles for so long there is not much that was going to prevent that.

I'm steady with moderate exercise ( yoga and brisk walking/jogging are my favs right now!) I eat clean ( healthy fats and a bite here and there of healthy carbs.) and as much Protein as I can stomach in a day. I still struggle to get 60g. But I'm close! I stop eating as soon as I'm full ( 4-5bites normally.) and I'm losing at a healthy pace. Slow and steady. My tummy fat started losing high and is working down. Hips/ lower abs are my worst area for sure.

Hope everyone else is still doing really well.

Good news: Traveled 2 weeks to see relatives and lost 3 pounds and finally moved off a stall.

Bad news: My hair has started to fall out. Slowly at first but it's starting to increase.

That's some crazy good weightloss! Good for you!!

I've tried a little salad, but my restriction doesn't allow much. I avoid lettuce as there really is no nutritional value and your body doesn't digest it anyways. Kale or spinach are better. Veggies don't seem to bother my stomach greatly but I've stuck to small amounts and chew like crazy. I love salad and miss it sometimes.

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
