Today is the day! And I haven't slept!

Recommended Posts

Today is the day!! I was so excited I couldn't sleep last night and then I ended up with only one hour of sleep! Eh, I guess I'll have plenty of time to catch up the next few days!!

Surgery is at 7:30am PST and check in is at 5:30am. Almost there!!!

I didn't sleep the night before either. How exciting. I found check in to surgery time the worst. Just wanted to do it :0)

I was so excited on my surgery day also! I was bouncing on the gurney in the pre-op and my friend who drove me asked, "You know you're having a surgery, right?" He understood though because his wife had had a sleeve also.

It really as an exciting and day and so many months (and longer for some) leading up to it!

Best wishes on your surgery and a swift recovery!

Thank you everyone for the well wishes! I've been sleeping the majority of the day with the exception of walks down the hall and bathroom trips!

It all happened so fast! I don't remember being hauled into the OR or even being in recovery! Next thing I knew I was already in my room!

So far so good, sore stomach and those gas pains when they come sure come!

They said I've been so good with vitals and everything I should be let out by 11 tomorrow!

Crossing fingers and thanks again!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
