Ok I could really have done without the listing of what's in Peanut Butter. I don't eat much of it. Maybe a tablespoon in the last two months but I really don't want my kids to eat it now.

I got the PB2 before surgery from wal mart and with a little bit of Water it's the texture of creamy peanut butter. I still don't eat much of it after surgery though.

All of those in the "good guys" section still have some type of sweetener. I've been eating unsweetened natural Peanut Butter for years - my local grocery store has a brand called Crazy Richard's - ingredients peanuts, salt. Or Smuckers Natural. or get peanuts and grind them fresh at a health food store or even in something like a Vitamix.

Oooooh, I hadn't thought of this option! I just got a Vitamix for Christmas and would love to make my own peanut butter! I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the idea!!

Dr Oz says not to eat peanuts as they are very addictive but almonds, or other TREE nuts are good. And please don't buy nut butters with sugar added.

Another thing Dr. Oz says is that Garcinia Cambogia is the "Holy Grail" of weight loss and that it will give you "QUICK and EFFECTIVE results WITHOUT diet and exercise, garcinia cambogia extract will absolutely help you achieve the body you've always wanted!"

So why did any of us bother to have WLS?!

His other weight loss recommendation is taking HCG drops and eating under 500 calories/day. Seriously, he's a f**king quack getting paid to endorse fad supplements from the highest bidder.

Kindle. Yeah, Oz is out to make a buck, and I choose to not read, or get mad, that stuff. But I think he is right about nuts.

There are plenty of nut butters that contain just nuts or maybe add a touch of salt. I use Laura Scudders brand but there are others.

To the OP I have used real PB from the start. Use no sugar added in moderation and you are fine. PB2 actually has added sugar.

I am at goal now and actually eat at least a TB of peanut butter daily.

Just remember it's very very high calorie food.

Have you tried the PB2 chocolate? Tastes like Reece cup!

I ordered a box of PB 2 plain and one with chocolate from work last week to add to my Protein Shakes. I haven't tried either yet as I start my 10 days of Protein shakes this coming Monday. Excited to try the PB 2 chocolate so I'm actually looking forward to Monday.

Kroger has PB2 in the health section usually on the very top shelf. I purchased mine from Amazon. Love it and my nutritionist recommends it because of the higher Protein content and lower calories. The chocolate is yummy! I have one serving most evenings. ????

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
