My surgery is coming up soooo fast, 3 weeks. I cant wait to start my new days but until I do I am pretty scared. Just came from a visit with a friend who was sleeved in June, hes down from 313 to 197!!! He talks about everything from the day of surgery on like it was just no big deal and says all he regrets is not doing it sooner. Assures me I will feel the same & to stop worrying. Not gonna happen til I am on the other side of surgery. ;)

Avhick.. You remembered about me! So nice of you! I am 48 hours away from surgery! Been on the pre-op diet for six days and am feeling great. I feel like I should be nervous, but I'm not. It will probably hit me at some point once I check in for surgery. I went sky diving once and wasn't even remotely nervous until they opened the door and it was time to jump out. Seems like this might be similar. ????

How are you doing? How is the rest of the "New Day" crew doing? Updates, please!

Blissfubeing! I have my calendar marked for you. Know that I will cheer you every step. My life has changed so much since my preop and surgery on Dec. 19, and my days are colored with gratitude and excitement! I can't wait to hear how your journey will go. I'm here if I can help you in any way. I'm still learning things, too!

It's almost my time, Onward! 48 hours! Your positive posts have kept me inspired during the pre-op journey. I hope all is well with you!

I'm going to update a little. I'm 7 weeks post-surgery and in only a little over 2 lbs, I will have a 1 in my hundreds' column on the scale! 199, what a day that is going to be; it's been SO long! Everyone is noticing the weight loss now, and the positive comments keep me encouraged and motivated.

Yesterday, I ran with my puppy...you know, like just a burst of joy and energy and breaking into a run like when you were a kid? That kind of run! 3 months ago, I walked down the steps one at a time while holding the wall. Oh, how good life feels. When Blissful began this thread, she named it well. Every day now is a new day, and for those of you just getting your surgeries, just think...I'm not very far in front of you, only a few weeks. Life is about to change in major ways for you...in the beginning, I literally had new achievements each and every day. Now, I have them every few days. It beats the heck out of just watching my health and abilities diminish slowly and surely.

We get to be new again, and gratitude is a wonderful, wonderful thing!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
