I dyed my hair when I was three weeks out. I was one of the very fortunate ones that my hair did not fall out. I worked hard at keeping my Protein up and I had lots of food issues for several months. I was prepared for it to fall out since it did when I had major surgery once before.

I am four weeks post today and I just had mine died on Saturday. I had been contemplating it for weeks however I put it off only because my hair is waist length and it means sitting in a salon chair for three hours to have it completed. I was so sore that I knew I wouldn't tolerate sitting that long. They say that Hair loss starts around month 4-5, so I figured I had better enjoy my hair now just in case!!!!

You can dye your hair as long as you can stand up for awhile.

Maggie, what does standing up have to do with dying hair? I'm confused on that one.

@@AmyC65, if she's doing it herself then moving her arms up and down might hurt.

I do hair for a living and I didnt do anyone's hair till I was 6 weeks out. I did do my own right away. Just do what makes you feel comfortable.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
