Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

Hello there Band fans....I got banded March 28th-2007.

I told myself....Bycyling would be a very good choice. Fresh air, muscles working for the sake of "Cardio". After one week passed--in April. I purchased three new bikes for me and my two sons. I have defeated many things doing that. No more not riding with my children--we ride as a crew (family). We could not conquer the hill on my street. We used to stop 3 to 4 times before getting to the top ( I did). So now the wheels have turned. My kids ask me---"Daddy can we stop--our legs are burning". Thank God I am doing well now. Now with 21 pounds gone---but just riding bikes. I am ready for the next Journey...The 1st fill--I am looking forward to the next 4 to 6 weeks--maybe 12 or 20 pounds gone...who knows...:faint: this is how I feel on many days after my ride. Today--(8.5 miles) It was walking, riding around the fair in my town--but that is what my speedometer said when it was all over...

They are very yummy. I have tried the orange, strawberry, and black cherry. All of them were very yummy. I also like regular Clif bars too. A little harder to eat but delicious all the same.

  • orange is my fav. I've had punch too, not so good.

  • Okay, so you two concur on the orange, strawberry and black cherry. Cherry is my favorite flavor, so I will get more of that. Thanks, chicas! (I gave y'all "reputation" for this info! I still can't be

HP, yep, I always dropped down too, and you don't get any oxygen doing it that way, you have to sit up and push back, opens your lungs right up!!!

I am thinking of going and doing it again tonight.....it was way fun....

Oh no, I dont know them...some of the cycling guys sent me this.

Amazing....

I love the shirt idea......love tshirts...

I looked at tshirts.com and they can do one up for 22.00 w/o shipping. WOW, would be nice to be able to do them up for less than that.

ok i'm new to the biking routine. hubby and i bought us each a bike on saturday and began riding in the evening. Wonderful!! Its so fun.. i feel like a girl again, and he's enjoying it to. However i dont think i can get to the miles you guys are riding...YOU ALL ROCK!! 2 miles so far but its more then before... hopefully the scale will keep sliding down ...and i will hit that goal. glad to see this strand and so many of you made me feel like i can do this. thanks

loveangelpet,

DON'T FRET!!! We all on this thread were very heavy when starting to ride. You will do just fine. We get these miles in because of the love of the riding. It used to be about the exercise and just moving in the beginning. Then, it takes over and soon you love it for what it is....a wonderful, fun thing to do. Two miles is great starting out!!!! You will work your way up and soon be doing 10 miles then 20....we all were where you are right now....we worked on it a little at a time and got to this point. Keep posting here and hopefully we can share what we know with you to help you in any way we can.

ZZ, got the flips...totally cute...thanks

Glad they made it there. Let me know how everone likes them!

I posted 11 new pairs up today... Just saying...

Yeah. I used to know how to silk screen. Bah. Would be a fin/handy business to get into. Lol.

Hi gang, thought I'd drop in and say a quick "Hi" to my dearly missed bycyling buddies.

I've spent a few hours reading through the last 30-45 pages of posts. Very proud of everyone for what they have accomplished over the past few months.

I am at war with my band - have been for the past few months. Not really wanting to spread that joy. It will get better, or it will get taken out - at this point, I don't have a preference either way.

I'm hoping my travel schedule will eventually calm down to allow me more than 1 day a week at home. Maybe I can get buttercup off of her training stand. She looks so sad - the wife's treadmill gets used regularly, but she has been relegated to laundry rack status (the bike, not the wife).

Miss all of you dearly -

Bike on -

B
