Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

Hello there Band fans....I got banded March 28th-2007.

I told myself....Bycyling would be a very good choice. Fresh air, muscles working for the sake of "Cardio". After one week passed--in April. I purchased three new bikes for me and my two sons. I have defeated many things doing that. No more not riding with my children--we ride as a crew (family). We could not conquer the hill on my street. We used to stop 3 to 4 times before getting to the top ( I did). So now the wheels have turned. My kids ask me---"Daddy can we stop--our legs are burning". Thank God I am doing well now. Now with 21 pounds gone---but just riding bikes. I am ready for the next Journey...The 1st fill--I am looking forward to the next 4 to 6 weeks--maybe 12 or 20 pounds gone...who knows...:faint: this is how I feel on many days after my ride. Today--(8.5 miles) It was walking, riding around the fair in my town--but that is what my speedometer said when it was all over...

They are very yummy. I have tried the orange, strawberry, and black cherry. All of them were very yummy. I also like regular Clif bars too. A little harder to eat but delicious all the same.

  • orange is my fav. I've had punch too, not so good.

  • Okay, so you two concur on the orange, strawberry and black cherry. Cherry is my favorite flavor, so I will get more of that. Thanks, chicas! (I gave y'all "reputation" for this info! I still can't be

Well the itty bitty head ache became a migraine. I've had worse, like I didn't have to go to the hospital this time. What a mess. I live a fully scheduled life and I don't have time for the innterrupptions. -gawd, that's really wrongly spelled- but I don't care. Needless to say, I did not ride. I would have been chuckin' on the side of the trail.

My dog got a friend's tampon out of the trash at my house once, she was mortified, the dog was pretty pleased with herself and her tastey treat.

Snakes creep me out, but worms are worse. I can't stand them, I can't fish, not like I have ANY desire to, but the night crawlers are GROSS!!!

ZZ,

I was told no ibuprofin because it's rough on the stomach. So I only do aceteminophen.

My baby's momma is a RT and talks about sputum being the butter on their bread. It' grosses me out to no end.

Guess who just got 3 pairs of $65 bike shorts for $12??? Yep me. I heart Dick's Sporting goods. Go check out the clearance racks folks!

Hi guys and gals! Y'all have a good day? I'm all set for surgery tomorrow! YAY!!!!! I am SSSOOOOOO excited!

ZZ: Ibuprofen can literally 'burn' a hole in your stomach or esophagus. It's very important that you drink a lot of water when you take it to ensure that it actually goes down. It can get stuck to the sides and wreak havoc. Because you can't guzzle water with a Band, it increases your risk of ulcerations. Most docs say no more NSAIDS at all...so really pay attention to what you're taking unless your doc says otherwise.

Yay C!! You're going to have the best day ever tomorrow!!! Ahh, all the free drugs... Lol.

Thanks for the info on ibuprofen. I took tylenol today... which doesn't do shit for me. I'm still in pain (low back) and my head is slamming. Lol. When I took ibuprofen I'd usually take it with some pudding to help it slide down. And then I'd drink water. I can feel when solid things go through my band, it's a slight discomfort, so I'm pretty sure I don't currently have any holes in mu tummy.

I have been having some indigestion though, since my fill last week. It better not be too tight! Lol. I'm sooo not going in for an unfil. I;ll just live on TUMS until I figure it out.

good luck turler....we will be thinking about you!!

Thanks! I am super excited! I can't believe I'll be joining you guys in discussions like fills, too tight (he he) and stuff like that! WOO HOO---I'm gettin' my band tomorrow!

defiantly not!!!

I do have a wonderful thing to share. I hit my 100+ mark at the doctir today as well, and I got my picture taken, and am not going back to see him until June 3....I will be right past my 1 year mark.I am setting some serious goals. But what was exciting is that I lost 22 lbs since I was there last month!!! WOHOOOOOOOOOOO

So.....get some sleep turler......this will be so worth it...you have fought hard to get here, and you deserve every bit that you get from the success of the band

Yeah, I know...I'm kinda dreading that. I was really chuckling at the "that's what he said" possibility of what I typed! LOL

look at you suzzie......5 to go!!

Awesome Traci!!!!

Okay so my son just ran out of my room and banged his head on my doorknob. WTF. Seriously I feel bad for laughing but it was the funniest damn thing.
