Recommended Posts

I just started the pre-op diet this morning! I feel like this is going to be a long week ahead. For those of you who already started, how is it coming along?

Day 8?! How long is your pre-op diet for? Mine is only a week long and I don't know how I'm going to do it. I'm afraid that if I'm having a hard time making it through day one, how will I do it post op? I work overnights and so I feel cheated of meals since I was up all day and having to stay up until 8 am. ????

Tomorrow is the day yeay

Me too! I'm a ball of nerves. Had a rough day with pre-op diet yesterday. Was feeling very weak and emotionally a mess. How is everyone that's getting sleeved tomorrow holding up? Am I the only one feeling this way ?

Nope been worried all day thank goodness I had to work lol .... good news a patient came into my lab with encouragement. Said she has the sleeve done 10 months ago and lost 110 lbs.

Just got the call, surgery tomorrow @ 7am pre op @ 515 am. TriRN11 yes yesterday was a bad pre op diet day for me too, got so bad I had to take one of my valiums just to bring the anxiety down some. Dont feel alone I am with you on these feelings. Jello helps some because I chew it so I dont feel to bad or deprived. :) do you have a time yet?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
