Twilight - Snowmobiling?!?! Wow. Hope you had fun. That is something I don't think I would ever do...I've been skiing and absolutely hated it. I don't like the snow...

Indio - WOW! 5 miles???? You are doing so well and look awesome, too.

Aunti Phyll - You look great, too. Everyone seems to be doing so well. :)

One other thing and I promise to stop w/the billion and one posts!

I had to have my gallbladder taken out in December (12/19). For a couple months, I was having really bad abdominal pain. All the tests were coming back negative. I insisted on being admitted to the hospital. I told my doc I didn't want to go home. My surgeon finally agreed and off I went to the hospital (straight from his office). Again, all the tests said I was fine. Yeah right.

I was admitted on a Thursday. Surgery was done on a Saturday and I went home Sunday evening. I am soooo much better off.

I knew that significant wt loss will cause your gallbladder to act up. After they took it out, they saw that it was inflamed and irritated. Ha. I was right. I have been fine ever since.

Moral of the story: Listen to your body and be an advocate for yourself.

Gnite ladies!!!

Hi ladies. Just a quick check in before I call it a night here. Had a good ride but only did 1/2 of it before I decided my back couldn't take any more. Wanted to say whoa before I actually did a lot of damage. I kept it on the skis this time. No crashes.

i was sick last night...migraine. It almost killed me I think. But to get rid of Migraines most of the time I have to get sick before anything will get better. The good news is I now remember what restriction feels like. I think I've almost forgotten. I kept my Breakfast light, my lunch light, and a normal dinner. I was so proud of me. Too bad it took me puking to get there.

Before any of you go "yikes" on me....I talked to my pa about my migraines and how I usually have to get rid of them and what she thought I should do. When I explained that it was once in every couple of months only she didn't freak. She said that if I did it daily for a week she would be worried but that everyone gets the flu every now and again and that it shouldn't hurt me....so I'm not worried about slippage. I haven't done that since my unfill in November.

Okay...time to get off. I'll see you ladies later. Hope you all had a great day!

5 miles on the treadmill? That's awesome, you have done your penance for the oreos now kiddo.... LOL so lighten up:tt2:

I love your picture comparison... wow, you would not know it was the same girl....!!!! I am so proud of you:lol:

Today's food (so far)

CALORIESCARBSFATPROTEINnt3_totals2.jpg638,63,27,36

I will probably have a 100 cal snack this evening... but I'm pretty tight.

I drove to T.O. for a fill this morning... She put in .125 cc into my band which should have put me at 7.4 cc's total... but then my Water was gurgling, so she did a tiny unfill .06 out... I can't even trust myself to do the math anymore... I think she was unsure too....

The important thing is I have some more restriction... YEAH!!!

Cals were easy to keep down today.

Candice - I did the crime now I have to do the time - I even went to a bday party for my gf 80 mom today and NO CAKE NONE NADDA ZIP !!!!! salad - 1/2 ck breast - Tomato - watermelon -veggies - No wine either !!!!! In fact I drank 3 bottles of water !!!!

I will not I repeat I will not have any more real treats (meaning real sugar) until the rest of the weight I gained is off - I will not let these 3 lbs stay on my body - cuz if I ignore them - then those 3 will turn into 5 - then 10 - then before you know it I will be 250 again - and saying how in the hell did that happen... it happens cuz we ignore those 2 - 3 lbs gains - that's how

Ya I don't worry about the # in my band it could be 4.8 or 5.0 not real sure - all I have ever cared about was that I had restriction...

Good going on your calories - is DH home yet...

Here are a few pics of me...of course Pic #52 is a before.

I want to post these 2 to see how they come out first.

Chim - Love your pic's - BF/DTB (daddy to be) is one fine man!!! You guys are going to have one cute baby....

Steph - Glad to hear no crashes - hugs on the Migraine my Mom use to get them = I remember her screaming in pain - the doc would come over (yes back in the day when they made house calls) give her a shot and she would be out for 24 hours...

Karri - have you had your test yet are you and your band ok???

Well, I did that party thing - it was really nice - then had to go meet w/Estate Sale lady - and now home -

I guess I will go watch some tv...

Hi, gang,

Got back to the desert Friday afternoon. Brought home a bug, so kind of dragging this weekend. I was determined to go to the Date Festival yesterday despite feeling miserable. It was good to get out in the nice warm sunshine, but, same old, same old.

Not tolerating food well between the fill last Monday and this flu or whatever I brought back with me. Throat sore and feels swollen, band feels tight. Had a good time with the little ones, but daughter was coughing all week and I wiped a few runny noses. Didn't think I was going to get it, but the very last day, throat started feeling sore and I knew I wasn't going to avoid it.

On a positive note.... It was AMAZING to:

1. sit comfortably in an airplane seat without the arms squishing my butt,

2. not to have to ask for a seat belt extender,

3. be able to put down the little tray table thingy and have it sit level and not rest on my stomach!!

It was WONDERFUL!

Phyl when do you come back to the desert???

Good morning Gang

I slept in til 6:45 this morning and last night a freind from work came over for dinner & movie -

Ok I gotta brag here (oh ya like you guys are shocked by that) guess what I did this morning - guess..

5 freaking miles !!!! yep 5 miles - That is a personal best for me !!! The most I have ever done is like 4 - this morning 5 miles in 1 hr 20 minutes with inclines and even jogged a bit...

Wahooo!! That is awesome! I have one hot momma!!

Doctor says everything is fine with the band. They had left the primer in (the Fluid between the port and the band) but with all the stress I have been under in the last few weeks it was just too much. I have never been able to tolerate anything over 2cc so they just said that my band is naturally tight on my stomach and that I will always have to be careful and that when I am under stress that I will be tight.

So I had to move my marathon date back. I am going to run the half marathon in Eugene on May 3 and then the full marathon on July 4 in Portland. It is kind of fitting I think. My b-day is July 1, my 1 year TT anniversary is July 3 and my 1st marathon will be July 4. That is kind of MY TIME of the year! That reduces some of the stress because there is no way that I was going to be ready for the marathon by May. Not with some of the injuries that I have had in the last few weeks...all due to the fact that I tried to do too much too quickly. Now I can ease back into it.

Well I am going to finish doing my taxes and efile them. Fortunately taxes are not painful this year...in fact we are getting back some good $$$$$

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
