How long before you abdomin feels normal?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering how long before everything feels normal? I am one week post op today and although every day gets better I'm just curious as to when you will be able to twist and turn and bend without pain? I am also getting this strange pain in my lower belly right side, no where near my incisions, I know this sounds weird but it's not a deep pain, it feels like it's just under the skin wit hung the fat pockets.. I know strange. Anyone else experience this? Meeting with surgeon tomorrow going to ask.. But I also feel like I may be being overly cautious with my bending and twisting due to fear of pain, I am probably creating more muscle aches than there would be .....

I too just had surgery on October 14th. I feel great. No pain or discomfort. I only wish I could eat something solid for a change.

I think I felt really good after 3 months. I'm sure everyone is different, but that is when I could eat all foods again and felt a lot of energy come into my life. More healthy than ever at almost 5 months out!!

I also had sleeve on 14th. I'm tender, but mostly where my incisions are. I pulled the glue off of the small incisions, which has helped with the tugging feeling. Other than that, I am too getting sick of the liquids...craving carbs big time!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
