Any One Up For an Exercise Challenge?

Now that all of you are back from the Vegas Bash, and the rest of us Pity Party goers are up off the couch - is anybody willing or interested in participating in an exercise challenge?

I'm not thinking anything drastic - just more than what we're already doing. I think the goal should be for a 'heart healthy' 30 minutes of activity a day, at least 3 days a week. Anything more is a bonus and worth an extra woo-hoo from the group!

Anything counts - weights (Darcy), walking, bike riding (Marie), playing tag with the kids (all the Moms out there), dancing your a** off (Leatha and Lisa).

I know Penni wants to do a 5K here soon, and this would be a way we could all get going with our exercise.

I would love to hear suggestions, comments, any type of feedback.

Do I have any takers?

We'll take y'all for a ride any time! In fact Leatha if we get back early enough on Sunday, we'll take you for a ride around the lake, it is a pretty ride and you would enjoy it!

I'm just trying to envision this little 5' 4" woman (Betty) handling a 695 pound Harley! What a woman! And you've been doing it for a couple of years!

I feel like such a wimp with all this talk of Harleys, since I'm terrified of motorcycles. When I want to feel the wind through my hair, I open the sunroof of my car or turn up the setting on my blow-dryer.

OK guys I'm working this thing for sure!! I went for a hike on Sunday with my bf and his mom, and yesterday my mom and I did water aerobics, and I'm going again today!! I am determined to do this thing right!! Not to mention the 16lbs i've lost is making me feel better and better!! Let's get moving this week guys!! How's everyone else doing???????? Fill me in...lol...get it? OK bad joke sorry..:)

I spent a week on vaca in Mexico and gained a solid 5 lbs. So I wasn't able to drag my butt out of bed yesterday, but I managed to do my walk this morning. Didn't do the upper body, but at least I got a 40 minute walk in.

Boy, someone keeps digging up this thread! :) I am moving all my furniture out of my living room today so we can paint and put in a wood floor. That will be my exercise for the next week. Sigh.... I will be very happy when it is done.

Regular...hmmm...as in a planned routine....hmmm...of cardiac exercise. I really must start doing that...really. :ermm

I am trying to think of a surefire way to motivate myself. I almost signed up for an exercise class at the college -- but I don't really want to exercise around a lot of 20 somethings -- I would be looking like a serious geezer.

I MUST do something soon! <Insert kick in the pants here.>

Is anyone else exhausted with this whole band/exercise thing? It's wearing me out. I want to go to lunch, I want to wear sandals, I want to be normal! (anyone old enough to remember that line?)

Normal to me is not having to think about what/when/how much we're gonna eat. Normal is my husband who stays slender and just eats when he want. Normal are my co-workers who just nibble at one cookie and feel satisfied. Normal is when you get full so you stop eating. Normal is as normal does. Normal is so damn simple.

Okay, Greg...I think it's time to make this official. The race is on! I really appreciate the 2 month head start since I'm a girl. ;)

Just tell me the date and the number and I'll beat ya there -- or exercise my butt off trying! :rambo I think this is just the kick in the butt I was looking for!

(Hee Hee I said butt twice.)
