Any One Up For an Exercise Challenge?

Now that all of you are back from the Vegas Bash, and the rest of us Pity Party goers are up off the couch - is anybody willing or interested in participating in an exercise challenge?

I'm not thinking anything drastic - just more than what we're already doing. I think the goal should be for a 'heart healthy' 30 minutes of activity a day, at least 3 days a week. Anything more is a bonus and worth an extra woo-hoo from the group!

Anything counts - weights (Darcy), walking, bike riding (Marie), playing tag with the kids (all the Moms out there), dancing your a** off (Leatha and Lisa).

I know Penni wants to do a 5K here soon, and this would be a way we could all get going with our exercise.

I would love to hear suggestions, comments, any type of feedback.

Do I have any takers?

As a freedom-yes-as exercise? Yeah right! How are you feeling Lisa? Have you been taking it easy and letting yourself heal?

Well, the kids are out of school this week so Brittany and I are committed to go to Curves AM and PM on the days that they are open this week.

My wound closed up one day, so I didn't exercise. But it opened again so I walked Friday. But I didn't get up of lazy butt this morning. I guess I'll just always have an open wound and no port, but things could be a lot worse!

Way to go Leatha! :banana

I have found if I come here to post each day, it makes me want to do the exercising just so I can post that I did it. I have never been good at getting exercise in, so maybe this is working for me. I can also tell the difference in how strong my legs are getting.

Like you said, even 5 minutes is better than none. I hate going out in the cold too and probably won't exercise at all if it weren't for my treadmill when it was cold.

I used to watch tv on my recumbent bike. It works great. Pick something you like or put in a movie and pedal away. I moved mine to the bedroom, though, so I need another tv -- yeah right. :D My son is supposed to give me an old portable dvd player so I can use that for movies.

I think you'll like the bike, Leatha. They are very comfortable. :D

i did good last week, went on a hike sunday and then water aerobics monday and tuesday, then walked another mile and a half last sunday..whew....time to do that good this week

Great Job One and All!

Curves this AM-Weighed in Last night-no weight off but I have lost a total of 9 inches since I started. Body fat went down 2.6! Slow but steady wins the race right? My legs are getting firm-now If I could do something about this large tire around my middle!
