All the time. If it's not coming up one way it's going out the other. I'm only 3 weeks post but it's almost constant.

I've been told it'll go away in time. I've also been told to try had gas x and it might help.

Sorry I couldn't be more of assistance

Yes, unfortunately, it is true.

intestinal flora can be greatly affected by surgery and/or diet changes... eat lots of yogurt, or take Probiotics. you may want to consider a good digestive enzyme supplement too.

I'm just about 7 months out as well and it is a very common thing.

At this point, I'll happily deal with the gas to have all of the other wonderful benefits. Yes, I'd love to have it go away at some point, but not really sure how it would.

My doctor told me to take a Gas-X pill. There is also a chewable and a dissolvable strip you can put on your tongue. It is best to take them before meals, but I've only had to take the pill in the morning, the chewable in the late afternoon and then just carry the dissolvable strips in my purse, just in case. I just burp. No toots. Just burps. I'll take it. My hubby says I burp a lot in my sleep too. So sexy, right?!?! Lol!

Look for Simethacone. That is the active ingredient in gas products..

I am only 6 weeks post surg, but my husband is over 2 yrs and the gas is still awful from him! lol. There are things he eats that make it worse, and he just doesn't care. <rolling my eyes> So it might not get "better" but you might learn to be able to control it better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
