Lump under one incision

Recommended Posts

I am two weeks and 2 days post op. Started back to work on Monday. I am feeling pretty good, I make it through the day not hurting and am getting in Protein and fluids. Monday night I noticed a lump under one of my incisions. It is quite palpable. I have an appt with my surgeon this morning for him to look at it. But I was wondering if any one else had this? It is not flat feels more like a chestnut. Kinda roundish feeling.

I have heard several people talk about having a lump under their incisions, I'm not sure how big they were, I'm sure you are fine!

It could be scar tissue forming or a small infection starting. Best to have it checked out to be sure. Okay! :)

Yep. I have one still after 11 months but it's getting smaller now. Feels like a mosquito bite sometimes. Probably a bit of scar tissue. Worth having it checked tho if its a concern.

I have that on the one where my drain was located. It's just scar tissue which isn't a surprise since I tend to keloid.

I had a small bump under the edge of one incision. No pain, no redness, just a bump. 4 months post-op, it's gone. I did some occasional massage with coconut oil off and on once I was healed and that may/may not have helped. I'm fair skinned, 47, and scar easily.

Good for you getting it checked out - better to be safe than sorry!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
