Sleevers 15th September to 21st September Check in

Recommended Posts

Hi. I'm having the gastric sleeve surgery tomorrow! I'm excited and scared. I've been preparing since January 2014 due to health set-backs. I have all my supplements and Protein Drinks ready. I'm on the clear liquid diet prior to surgery and it's tough. I'm unusually hungry, but I'm not drinking all the Protein I'm supposed to I guess. Does the hunger really go away after the surgery? Especially 1 week post-op when I have to do this clear liquid diet again?

I am sleeved!!! Surgery was pushed to 1:30 PM so I am 13 hrs post op n doing great???? I was in my room by 5 and up walking by 8. Got a little nauseous when I walked so the gave me some meds n was fine right away. I did take some pain meds ( prob why I did so great.... Lol) which interfered with my saturation levels a bit but all is great now .

I go in at 9:30 AM for the Dye test so wish me luck????

Hope everyone else is doing super great too!!!

Good luck! Remember to ask for pain medicine before it gets very bad. It's hard to get it under control. Ask for anti nausea medication if the pain medicine gets you sick.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
