What's up everybody! I'm Antoinette. I was sleeved on August 19th. I'm recovering well but these staples are annoying the hell outta me. I just came here for support and motivation on my journey. I've been going through a lot in my personal life and could use some positivity. :-) I live in the Dallas area and I'm 29.

Hey everyone! I am scheduled to go from Band to Sleeve on the 19th. I'm excited and nervous. I'm natural as much as I need this weight off, I don't want to loose my hair. Are there any natural out there. What do you do to maintain your length? I was told to start taking Biotin prior to the surgery and to continue after. I was thinking about prenatal vitimans, but I am not trying to have a oppsie baby, right after. I welcome and support and information

I was told that Protein, protein, protein helps deter Hair loss. Of course you will have to drink between 60 and 70 grams of protein per day. But you may also want to invest in a good hair protein treatment. You will naturally shed a little hair right after the surgery (from all the meds).

That's what I am worried about. I already have a lot of shedding, and I am trying to stop it. I think it's the lack of Protein. I'm trying to include more in my hair and diet. I use henna to color my hair, I know that is a natural protein treatment, but I will also add just the protein to my regimen. I have to get this under control, cause I don't want to loose my hair as I loose weight.

I wad told to start taking biotin prior and after surgery as well. It's done wonders for my Hair growth now. I won't have surgery until Oct 23rd. From what I've heard from people who are post op, the Hair loss is noticed most 6 months after surgery. So taking the biotin now and continue it will help reduce the amount of loss.

I am taking it now. I am wondering should I look for a chewable or something after surgery. The pill is small, but I am not trying to mess up my pouch

That's a good question. I'll try to find out today or tomorrow and let you know what they tell me.

I found chewable, and liquid supplements

Where did you find liquid Biotin? I can only find chewable but I think the liquid would be a lot better since it wouldn't have all the additives. I have been so bust at work I haven't had a chance to call my surgeon's office about it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
