Sept. 8th & 9th Gastric Bypass surgery.

Hey all.... Some of us figured it would be easier to buddy up so that we could follow each other through the process from here on out.

I'm scheduled for surgery on Sept 8th and I start my liquid diet on Sept. 1st. Everything happened so quickly after my last NUT appt. yesterday..... I am feeling a combo of nerves and excitement. I have to get labs done tomorrow morning, I see my surgeon on Thursday, and I have my pre-op next Tuesday.

My husband has taken a few days off work to be with me and I have started making a list of things I need before the big day.

......... I can't wait to be on the losers bench.

Happy late Thanksgiving everyone. How did the holiday treat you? Were you able to resist the temptations?

I thought it would be hard with all the carbs and dessert but it wasn't too bad at all.

I had a very small plate of Turkey, ham, green Beans, corn and yes... A little bit of stuffing with cranberry.

All-in-all... I think I did great and I actually lost a pound after all that Black Friday shopping and walking it off. It was a great day.

Shauna29.... It's almost December Gf, the time will be here before you know it. Let me know when you go on liquids.

Hi Angelic, I go on liquids on the 8th and yes girl It's creeping up on me.

Is anyone having issues with hair loss? I'm getting a fist full every day now!

Not yet... I have thin hair already and can't even imagine what it would be like if I do.

I cut my hair chin length about 3 weeks ago just incase. I heard that shorter hair sometimes helps. Idk why but I needed a haircut anyway.

I just got the bypass done yesterday. I’m on my second day in the hospital. So far it’s just a lot of discomfort. Like really bad cramps all over my belly area.
Hi - congrats on surgery. It passes hang in there. Day 5 turns a corner

Get up and walk ALOT. Really- don’t stop getting up and walking over next few days- it helps a lot .
