Not sure this will happen

Recommended Posts

Started on this journey in March. Had date for surgery September 9th. Then last month insurance changed requirements to 6 months of NUT visits from the original 4. Last week I heard the requirements were changed back to 4 so we were on for end of Sept. Then my position was eliminated after 16 years and now insurance ends Sept. 1st. I am having a harder time wondering what will happen with the surgery then having to look for another job. Bad day.

yes, a bad day indeed. Sorry for this crap. Consider paying for COBRA benefits to continue with the surgery. use your unemployment time to heal and regroup, gain confidence and find something new. I know it sounds easier that it is, but, COBRA may be an option for you. You have gone through so much and were so close to the surgery, I cannot imagine the angst. Good luck and best wishes to you.

I agree with auntjanny, Cobra may cost you a bit, but when you find another position you may not have the option again to even have the procedure. Don't give up yet, find a way.

Have you spoke with your surgeon about your situation?

I have a call out to the coordinator I found out Copra will cost $2000 a month so I really hope and pray it will still happen in September. I kept going back and forth about waiting but i really need this for my health. I appreciate all your support.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
