My liquid diet starts this money. My meal plan is 4 shakes a day (which I took a sip of muscle milk and wanted to gag) and I am allowed to have vegetables with a 10 calorie dressing. And broth. Any ideas on things to eat that taste good and are allowed? Pre op recipes if you will and any shakes that actually are tolerable. Thanks in advance..

I just had Surgery this past Tuesday. I drank lots of EAS lo-carb Protein Shakes. They come in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. They are actually pretty good. I also tried the muscle milk and did not like it. I am still on a liquid diet through Sunday so still drinking them. You may want to give them a try:)

Do something now on finding a better tasting or tolerable shake. For me each one I had to drink got worse, lol. It takes effort but you will find one and get through it. We all did.

Good luck to you.

I will be banded this Tues, my doctor is only making me do liquids with one meal a day. My liquids consist of Cereal, Soup with all the stuff inside. I wonder why doctors are so different on pre - op rules. Good luck finding a good shake. I like Adkins shakes.< /p>

Boost Protein shake is pretty good (it says HIGH Protein on the bottle- and I think it's got some green color on the front). I would even suggest Nutrament if you don't find any shake that you can tolerate. Or even Slimfast

If you have a juicer, you can juice broccoli with an apple. Tastes GREAT!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
