  1. When you are away many people miss your inspiration!! I am a year out and have been feeling bad because I didn't reach the personal goal I set for myself on the scale. My son had to set me straight by reminding me that even though I may not have lost a certain amount of weight I have made many changes in my lifestyle for the better and I am healthier than I have been in years. So keep your posts coming because I for one look forward to them and learn much from you????

  3. I have a 10 cc band and mine is At 7.5. I have been at green for 3-4 months.
  4. I use it everyday. Just had my 12 month lab work done and the results were fantastic!!
  5. Amazing pictures and look at all the things you were able to do that before you couldn't. Your hard work and determination show! Thank you for being such an inspiration:).
  6. I go back and forth with logging my food. I did weight watchers for so long and tracked those points ! I will say that when I do keep track I am more aware of what my day is looking like food wise. I am a year out from surgery and still have much to learn. I am working towards it becoming second nature to me but boy old habits die hard.
  7. Hi. I had lab work at 6 months and just had it done for my 12 month. They checked for several things. I'm sure each surgeon has their own protocol:)

  13. Short quick karate chops to the area. It settled in my mid back and my husband did this for me. It really helps:) Welcome to band land:)

  18. Welcome and congratulations on making your health a priority:). I was banded almost six weeks ago and it's the best decision I have ever made for myself! Take it easy these first few days. Walk walk walk and get your fluids in:). You will be so happy with your new lifestyle:)
  19. Bandedmom14: I am so happy things went well for you and you are now among the banded:). Take care of yourself and follow your doctors post op instructions. You will do great .
  20. Welcome to the "club". That is so great that you made the decision to take control of your health. I am 56 and 5 weeks post op so am fairly new with so much to learn. The posts here have really taught me a lot and I learn something new every day. You are going to do great! I wish I would have done it sooner but can't turn back the clock so I am just looking ahead to this journey as I am sure you are:)
  21. Congratulations on making the decision to take control of your health!:). Take it easy and follow your surgeons advice always!! I am 5 weeks post op and can already tell you it's the best decision I have made for myself. You will do great!
  22. Hi. Had first fill two days ago and it was easy! I was more nervous about the fill then I was about the surgery. I can honestly say the only thing I felt was the pressure from the RN palpating the area of my port to find it. It was over before I knew it and I was on my way. You will do great!!
  23. I am 5 weeks post op and I find if I don't make protein and fluids a priority I get run down quickly. Good luck and focus on the protein and water!!.
