Craigslist is dangerous...I won't join if it goes through there

Have to concur here. Craigslist has no vetting process, no security to verify who a user is and with such open access sexual predators would be licking their lips waiting for new victims.

I approved people at 5:00 am so hopefully you were one of those. If not, please email me at marla@laminack.com and I will make sure you are registered.

I'm sorry I have to approve people. We haven't always done that. We have approximately 100 spammers from overseas per day try and sign up to spam the forums with offers of viagra and other things.

Its less time consuming for me to approve real people vs spammers than it is to constantly delete spam posts from the forums.

We have tried some advertising but nothing has really worked so far. Between the site and advertising I am already out several thousand dollars. I'm committed though to building the site and keeping it free and am just eating the costs because I believe there is a need for the site and would really like to see it be successful.
I was really hoping for a lot of word of mouth advertising. I know many of us are in multiple groups and have lots of ways of sharing. If you have any ideas for advertising I would love to hear them!

Have you thought about social media marketing? Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are viable free sources. Match.com even uses Pinterest to create visual ads to get people to try their site. If you need assistance with it I'm happy to help. Just registered today so once approved you'll have another guy (and a darn good catch if I may say so myself) to ad to your male shortage. [emoji4]

Sent from a convention where we discuss the oscillating libido of lowland gorillas.

Is the site for singles still up and running?

Hi All! Alex has graciously allowed me to post once about my dating site for weight loss surgery patients. I designed this site after input from several friends who have had weight loss surgery, myself included. Many of us are new to dating and just discovering ourselves and dating in general is hard enough, let alone after weight loss surgery. I thought it would be a great idea to bring men and women together who have both had some type of weight loss surgery. We all want to stay on track and we all fear regaining the weight we've worked so hard to lose. Finding someone with similar goals and interests would be great for long term success. www.loveafterwls.com was born!

loveafterwls.com is NOW totally FREE! If you were a previous paying member, please unsubscribe and rejoin as a FREE member.

Our site offers personal profiles with up to ten pictures, blogging, instant messaging, forums and more. Like all new dating sites, it will take awhile to grow our membership but come on in, fill out your profile, start a blog if you wish and help build this dating site into something great!

Please tell your friends, especially men. We currently have a lot more women on the site than men.

Visit www.loveafterwls.com for more information!

Thanks :)

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
