Tomorrow is my day. Getting very nervous!

I can't believe that June 23rd has come so fast. I am ready, but still a good amount of nerves have set in.

I have had SO little in the way of calories and nutrients over the past week. My appetite has just completely vanished on the 2 wk pre-op diet and it has been very hard to intake anything. I've had mostly shakes, and now I"m hoping I haven't ingested so little that i will be in trouble. Good news is today I get to have REGULAR juices, popcicles, etc to carry my blood sugar through tomorrow.

I know that there is a religious board, but there is very little activity on there. I would like to ask those who are so inclined to keep me in your thoughts, prayers and such over the next few days.

I will see everyone over on the post-op board!!!!!

I feel the same way. I thought at the beginning of this 2 week pre-op diet the day would never come. Now my surgery day is tomorrow too. I am getting very nervous and I have had my battles over the last 2 weeks, but for the most part it was easier than I though it would be. I will be thinking about everyone that is having their surgery this week. It so nice to know that this forum exists to be able to read and have support. Good Luck to everyone tomorrow!

Good luck to all of you having surgery tomorrow! Here's hoping for smooth sailing on your way to a healthy new you. Planning on joining you on the losers bench next month.

We've all been there or are going to be there and know what you are going through. So many who have been through this and are months out even years out are so happy now and do not regret this decision. As I near closer to my surgery day these are the people I depend on to help me deal with my fears and uneasiness. You're going to be fine and in one month when I'm on here posting how my surgery is a day away and I'm scared you will be here telling me how you're a month out and lbs down and feeling great and how worth it this all is. I am home now! thanks to everyone for your MANY kind words and prayers. My surgery went very well and I am already SO glad that I went through with it. The surgeon reported to me that although I already knew I had fatty liver, it was worse than we both thought and within a couple of years I would have had some serious fibrosis set it, leading to cirrhosis. WoW.

I'm not even 40 yet and now I have a long life ahead to look forward to.

I will be posting soon in the POSt-op FORUM too. thanks again to everyone!

Great news. Congrates!

So glad to hear that your surgery went well! Praying for your continued healing.

I am finally home. I had to spend a few days in the hospital. For whatever reason I had some major problems in surgery with my heart rate and blood pressure. The next day my body did not respond well to the heavy duty pain meds. After I was checked for leaks and was able to drink my pain meds, I felt 100% better. It is now day 3 after surgery and I feel great. Mild discomfort, all I can say is...walk, walk, walk. It helps with nausea and gas pains. The day after I thought to myself what the heck did I do to myself, and was regretting every min, until I started feeling better, and started to get excited on how all the changes in my life will be. I can't wait to be on the losers bench and get to onederland!! Thank you all for the positive vibes and good luck to anyone having their surgery here in the near future.
