Okay, I saw a local doctor and he mentioned that he could make an amazing difference on my face doing fat injections in my upper cheek. I have that "lost alot of weight" sorta drawn look. I don't have wrinkles or really feel I need a face lift but this would be amazing.

I asked him about the other injectables (botox etc etc) and he said your own fat gives much more natural results AND is less risky in terms of complications.

What say all of you that have had anything like this done? Did you get bruising on your face and how long did that last?

Never done it BUT I would be happy to be a "fat" donor. =)

I've had lip injections and just 1cc made a difference. It hurt for a couple days, but I'm sure transplanting might be done a bit different. I've thought about doing fat transfer in my lips. Have you seen any befores and afters regarding that procedure?

CowgirlJane,

I have had Artifill injections in my cheeks and Juvaderm injections. I did get bruising but everyone is different. The Artifill I had in my cheeks was several years ago and it is still holding up.

I think using your own fat would be much better. I'll eventually end up getting the injections again--AND have to deal with the sunken cheeks yet again.

Good luck,

Kathleen

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
