Hey there, so happy for you! And Luigi. You're going to be feeling great when that first chunk is off......good luck Thursday. Nervousness and excitement are very natural leading up to the big day. I found it all much easier than I thought it would be. And the result is amazing -- no more appetite monster on my back, all that chatter gone. I eat when I'm hungry and don't eat when I'm not hungry. Still love food, just in much smaller amounts at appropriate intervals. Still eat out, enjoy life and I am able to do so much more now. Best wishes to you for this new chapter in your life.

Congrats on getting yourself closer to being strong and healthy! Not only for yourself but to enjoy many more years with your grandson too. Think of all the memories he will have with you ! My surgery and recovery was a breeze, hope yours goes fast and smooth too. I just followed my Drs advice 95 % of the time and the weight fell off . Best decision ever ! Good luck, let us know how you're doing !

Congrats Mike! You can totally do it :) one of my goals is to be able to run around with my nephew (16 mths) and not get winded. Yesterday we played non-stop & was way more comfortable breathing than I have been over the past few weeks. Talk about motivation to keep on going!

Your health is critical to your true happiness. And you'll be an amazing example to your grandson on what you goals can accomplish when you stay focused & determined with your eyes on the prize - Bravo!!

Way to go Mike and congratulations on your surgery. We were all a bit nervous when the time finally rolled around, that is only natural. As for your Grandson..my motivation was my 2 grandchildren (a boy and a girl). I can get down on the floor and play with them now. We can go to the park and run and play. Before, I was just too FAT and did not care. You won't be skinny overnight and you didn't get fat overnight either..but you are going to be on your way to a new you and a new Grandpa that's for sure. Good luck in a couple of days and may your journey be filled with love and laughter and lots of time with that very special grandson. "You" are the best gift you could ever give to him.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
