:faint: ROTFLMAO Thanks for sharing this, Carlene.:clap2: Your story kind of reminds me of my mother's operation. She was a very slender person when she was young yet she had given birth to 3 enormous babies while she was in her 30s. I was the lightest and I clocked in at 9 and a quarter lbs. :) Eventually when she was in her 70s she had to have her insides hoisted up, the bladder in particular. She said that the wonderful result of that operation was that for months afterward everytime she sneezed she had an orgasm!:)

WOW ur lucky mother LOL, if i was her I'd be walking round with some pepper for whenever the mood hit

MzAngel: I agree. I was going to ask Green which kind of pepper she used, black or red?

Driver: With an additional 12 inches, your name would certainly be appropriate!

If you guys ever check out this site, be prepared for some laughs. It's a thread called "Things I Learn From My Patients", where ER doctors and nurses post, and there are some pretty outragous stories about what people stick in themselves.

When I was in highschool, during the summers I volunteered full time at the local hospital. I would also pick up some additional night hours if they needed help. The ER was one of my favorite places to work, but WOW. I had heard the urban legends, but people really so some outrageous things. There was one lady brought in for vaginal bleeding. She was BLEEDING. Ends up her boyfriend had talked her into shoving a hot lightbulb into her vagina. He had heard, and convinced her it was true, that the hot lightbulb would burn her lightly and that, in turn, would increase sexual pleasure - the burn "not causing lots of damage, but making your skin super sensitive." If I remember correctly, he started to push the lightbulb in, she told him to stop because it was burning too much, so he decided he would just to faster, she tensed up and *shatter*, broken lightbulb in the vagina.

Thanks, Laurend.....some really helpful household tips can be found there, as in:

When attempting a self-circumcision do not use dry ice to numb the area... and when the dry ice sticks to the... a.... area, do not attempt to remove the ice with boiling Water.< /p>

Yeah, when reading it, you really have to wonder about the intelligence of some people.

This is something I read recently:

Don't Put Your Penis Where It Isn't Welcome

A South African inventor has created a new female condom designed to stop rape by hooking sharp barbs of wire into a man's penis if he tries to sexually assault a woman wearing the device. The "Rapex" is worn like a tampon and will grab hold of a man's penis and attach itself to his dick until he gets to a hospital to have the metal barbs surgically removed. While some detractors of the device have criticized its "vengefulness," inventor Sonette Ehlers has no second thoughts about her contraption. "It's a medieval device for a medieval deed," Elhers says. "If any rapist finds himself hopping with pain as a result...that seems just fine to me. Yes, it's vengeful. Yes, it hurts rapists. Oh well." Get yours at RapeStop.net.

Yikes.

My daughter gets her drivers license in September. She will of course be going to the movies, the mall, etc. Where can I buy one of these for her? Seriously.

I just visited rapestop.net and it looks like they are gearing up to distribute the product, it's been patented.

They have a place where you can subscribe to their newsletter to find out more info.

They also have photos of the product, it looks like fish hooks in there. Fascinating! This product should probably become as frequently used as Shampoo.< /p>

I know. It sounds good. But just think, by the time the device has done it's business the assault will have already occurred. I think it's beauty lies in the possibility of it being a deterrent. "Does she have one or doesn't she?"

Devana I completely agree. Can you imagine wearing one of those every day on the off chance you were to encounter a madman on a raping rampage. I mean how long can you keep it inserted? How do you keep from incurring injury when inserting it? What if you forgot you had it in and seriously harmed your loved one? Or yourself? :faint: Egad, the possibilities! :paranoid

You would think it would hurt having it in there!

It doesn't look like it would hurt at all. It sort of reminds me of those rubber things people who do a lot of paperwork put on their thumbs to flip pages. It looks like it is a very soft flexible silcone-ish long cup-type material with little plastic ribs of hooks about an inch or inch and a half long running up and down the inside of it, not around it. So it should be easily collapsible. I'll go get the photo and post it if I can.

When I was in grad school, a bunch of us lived together, including two of us who were a couple. One day, Dom, the fellow, came running screaming into the living room naked. His girlfriend Laurie ran in saying they had used cinnamon extract to heighten sensations, his penis was burning, and the extract wouldn't come off. So we all piled into the car to take Dom the the college Health Center, where they fixed him up, AND handed us a pre-printed list of what extracts don't burn, as the nurse commented, "We see this all the time."

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Some days I feel like an infiltrator... I'm participating in society as a "thin" person. They have no idea that I haven't always been one of them! 🤣

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL
