I'm not on this stage yet, but can we have things like rice noodles or gluten free Pasta to replace regular noodles? And what about rice and gluten free crackers?

Thanks!

I think it depends on your tummy tolerance. I've noticed many people avoid the carbs because it takes up too much room in the new tummy. I've also seen people eating burgers and sandwiches and, yes, Pasta. Of course, the servings are teeny :)

When you eat carbs. Try very hard to have a complex carb. Then it becomes a complete Protein which will help you feed your body!

Also remember that gluten free has nothing to do with low carb, or no carb.

My doc told me to have a Protein and a bit of veggies, and that's pretty much it. Very little Pasta, bread, etc.

Anything from rice can swell in your stomach which is not good.

And have you ever read the ingredients on gluten free stuff? It is usually full of sugar and other things that aren't necessarily good for you

Are you gluten intolerant? Like Arielle said, gluten has nothing to do with carbs.

Yes, you can have anything you like as long as you eat your Protein first, then veggies, and then carbs.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
