Any 2014 June Sleevers

I couldn't find a June Sleevers forum. If there is one already please direct me!

Well anyway, I'm glad excited that I finally got a date, June 5th. I really wanted it to be sometime during the end of May but that didn't happen. My family will be going out of town, to Disney to be specific, a few days after my surgery because my cousin from Mexico will be making his fist trip here. I'm so sad I won't be joining them but my parents keep telling me I need to look at the bigger picture, or should I say smaller. Haha. I have my preop appointment May 27th. I'm curious as to what kind of diet he will put me on! I'm just excited to get this going! So who else has a June Date? Who is hoping for a June Date? Are you ready yet? Nervous? Excited?

Hi I'm scheduled for surgery on June 18th and I'm super scared and excited! I start my liquid diet on June 4th but I'm so scared of not succeeding because I'm still struggling with giving up fatty foods.

You are going to do just fine. We all believe in you! The next step is surgery....I bet you can hardly wait. Best of luck to you!

June 16, 2014! I am not trying to wish my days away but will be happy when its over and I am in recovery mode :)

I'm June 16th too. There are quite a few of us! Congratulations!

Just a bit of an update on my progress on the 14 day pre-op liquid diet. Started day #7 and have lost 10lbs. It works, even though sometimes you feel like it does not. For those who are looking to start this soon, take my advice...DON'T WEIGH YOURSELF EVERYDAY! You will get discouraged when you don't lose. Have faith, if you are not cheating, it will work. Good Luck to all.

My schedule surgery date is June 17! I am excited but a bit nervous.

I'm on a day 4 of 10 day liquid diet, lost 5lbs. I still cook for my family, I have to feed the kids :-) it's okay but it's the hardest at dinner time, but my surgery is in 7 days that's one week and that keeps me going.

For people that are doing a pre-op liquid diet, are you guys doing your vitamins already too? I just find it so weird that I wasn't instructed to do a liquid diet before my surgery...

Yes, I was told to take Centrum multivitamins every day till the surgery

Ok well I already take a multi vitamin everyday so maybe I will try to replace at least some of my meals with protein shakes just to try to start getting used to it. I only have 1 week to go! June 4th is coming quick!!! Do you guys know what all vitamins you'll have to do post-op yet? My doctor said multivitamins, vitamin b-12, and calcium. I was kinda shocked to hear there was only 3 because I remember hearing stories about people having to take "so many" vitamins the rest of their lives.

My surgery is on June 4 too.

After the surgery I was told to take multivitamins but they have to be chewable as well as B12 after few weeks and calcium all chewable,

People that take a lot of vitamins all there life is people who had bi-pass

I'm scheduled for June 16th and I am extremely nervous, but looking forward to it nonetheless. I have been reading post after post for months and finally decided to make an entry of my own. Good luck to us all!

Hi, they want you to do a liquid diet to shrink your liver. Makes it easier for surgery.

Hi everyone! My surgery is scheduled for June11th. I do not have a support system and would love to make friends on our journey towards health.

Karen.

ME ME! June 3rd! I am so excited! Having at the University of Chicago. I'd love to follow and be friends with anyone within the same time frame, really ANYONE who has gone through this or is going to! Support is everything!
