  1. Hi all....I was sleeved on 6/16. As of 2 week check up was down 23 pounds. Learning lots everyday
  2. Hi all! I was sleeved on June 16th. I had my two week weigh in on Tuesday and had lost 23 pounds. I've lost that kind of weight before, so it doesn't feel real to me. I ran into a snag after I came home from the hospital that no one warned me about. I'm a medicated bi polar and after 5 days of hyper mania (feeling over the moon, invincible), I realized my meds weren't being absorbed in my system to do their job. I figured out that i need to take my meds later when i'm eating, but really panicked! What's everyone doing for the 4th?
  3. Hi Helena Marie, I did great through surgery and while in the hospital, but haven't been doing well the last three days. I too am still having issues with pain, but luckily still have pain meds. I can't get all the liquid down without feeling like it's floating at the base of my throat. Protein is a.challenge in that I have to be very careful what to eat or risk my stomach feeling like it's going to twist right out of my body. I'm getting out and about and haven't had issues with gas. I have yet to be hungry. My 1st post op appt is a week from tomorrow. I hope all starts going better for the both of us. You'll be in my thoughts! Please share what your surgeon says. Best, Dawn
  4. Hi Jennifer, You are awesome. I still have some pain, so better living through chemistry for me! Things are going well. Surgery was a breeze, as was time in the hospital. I stayed 2 days, just to be safe. I'm delighted to be home with my son...he's a huge help! So is his nanny, when she is here. My doc limited me to 4 ounces per hour of fluids....with the 30/30/30 for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it's impossible to get my fluids and proteins in. I want to sip more, but am afraid I'll stretch my tummy out! What's your intake per hour? Congrats on doing so well! Best, Dawn
  5. 6 days! How is everyone doing?
  6. How are you feeling with the liquid diet? I'm not finding it too bad, but then I'm doing 2 shakes a day and a high Protein, low carb dinner. Are you all liquid? Only 9 more days to go...we can do this,
  7. Congrats. Have you started your liquid diet yet.I have...it's not too bad!
