  2. You'll feel better at 2 weeks, even better at 3 weeks and normal by at 1 month. Hang in there! I am almost 10 weeks out and it gets easier every week.
  3. Drink 60+ oz of water a day. After 3 days or so, you should see a loss. I know it's hard to get water in at this stage but it's the key. Good luck!

  6. My first stall after, two weeks after surgery, lasted for two weeks. I lost six pounds after that and now I am in another stall. I've never found it this hard to lose in the past and it is confusing no matter how many blogs, articles and books I read. My surgery was on 6/16. I'm trying to accept in my head that these stalls are normal, but it sure is hard.
  7. I also get hungry; however, I was told that drinking the 64+ oz of water or liquid we need should do the trick with the hunger feeling.
  8. I was in a stall for about 2 weeks and finally lost 1 pound the day before yesterday and another yesterday. I wasn't getting all of my protein or water in. I tried really hard and got protein in and 90% of water. Maybe that did it or maybe it was just time for my body to lose again. I'm not sure, but I am grateful!! Hang in there everyone!

  10. I am currently in a 10 day stall with a surgery date of 6/16. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something happens for us soon because this is so discouraging.

  12. My surgery was 6/16 and I lost 20 pounds in the first two weeks. I have been in a stall for 8 days now not losing even an ounce. I know this is normal from the posts that I read, but it sure is frustrating.
  13. My surgery was on 6/16 and my left-sided pain returned last week. I posted about it a few days ago and since the pain has disappeared. I woke up Sunday and the pain was gone. Hang in there all with left side pain...it will get better. I only assume the eating and drink in gets easier day by day. My Nut told me hydration first, so keep trying to get the fluids in. Good luck all! PS: I have yet to reach my fluid or protein goals.

  15. Thanks for sharing.. I am almost 14 days post op (6/24).. and my biggest concern is the pain on the left side..feels like a pulled muscle.. hard for me to sit up, bend and its quite frustrating.. I was told to put hot/cold compresses muscle rub but its not doing much.. I have to go back to work Monday and Im worried b/c its going to be long hours.. I just want this pain to subside.. but I wish you the best in a quick recovery and getting back into a normal routine! Thanks sma. My pain feels the same as yours but I guess time will heal us. Thanks for the reply and I wish you a quick recovery as well. I visit the doctor next week and will ask about the pain. If I learn anything new, I will share it.
  16. Surgery date 6/16 S/W 223 C/W 204 I have been in a stall for about a week now. I returned to work on the 30th and it was hard. Still very tired and week, but I think that is from not getting my 60 oz of fluid or all of my protein. Up until a week ago it hurt to drink...much better now. Started on blended foods 3 days ago and I follow this stage for one week before moving to soft foods for one week. My stomach does not seem to like anything I eat except broth but I tolerate it. Most if my pain subsided within 1 1/2 weeks and then the left sided pain returned three days ago. Strange. Overall, I'm glad that I did this but I am definitely ready for my body to feel normal.
  17. I had some slight cramping on day 1 and 2 but it has altogether subsided. Give it time and let things heal!. Thanks and Go Browns!
