When to start swallowing pills?

Recommended Posts

Eyes y'all. I was sleeved on Monday April 21st, everything went great down 16 pounds already as of today :-) the only complaint I have is having to crush my pills and take with applesauce. It's horrible, yuck. When did y'all start swallowing your pills again and stop having to crush them? Thanks

I have swallowed my pills from day 2. However, I can't take all 4 in the same gulp like I used to. Some of mine are small and I can take 2 of them together. I have to space them out through the day.

The only pill I swallow is my Pepcid tablet. All my Vitamins r chewable. Since surgery the taste has changed a little but it is tolerable. I just find it easier.

About 2 months after my surgery I started taking medication for an unrelated condition, so my doctor gave me teeny, tiny pills which was annoying because I had to take like 5 of them to get the proper dosage because they were so small. Finally after another month, he allowed me to try the regular sized pill to see how I did. I've been taking it about 7 weeks and (*fingers crossed*) so far so good.

It's round and white, I guess a little smaller than those white asprin pills I used to see in the clear bottle at Grandma's house. So far, it doesn't bother me. But I can't take it right after food because the quick gulp of Water makes my chest hurt and I feel queasy

My dr had me swallowing pills the day of my surgery. The first time the nurse asked me if I wanted to swallow it or have it in my IV I chose IV but the next dose I swallowed with no problems

I think my Dr. is going to make me wait 4-6 weeks before taking my pills whole rather then crushed. Yuck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
