Here I Am.....3 Months Later
I think he is an excellent surgeon. I had no pain when I woke up after surgery. However when u get to his office u can usually expect a long wait time and very quick appt. I think he is just so confident in what he does that he overlooks some of the little things that we may find important.

Protein shake taking for ever to drink
Just an FYI It has been said that ur body can only absorb/process 30 grams of protien at a time. So if ur drink has 15g per ounce then its a waste if u plan on drinking more than 2 ounces at a time. And after surgery when u go to ur mostly protien diet u will most likely get constipated. But good luck in ur journey it will all be worth it.

Post sleeve skin issues
I had a rash in my first month or two. I just put anti itch cream and made sure not to scratch. It lasted like 3 weeks.

Should I be able to ride on the rides, or no?
I just visited six flags last week. I am 5'3" and weigh 179. I have wide hips and with my weight loss I fit in the seats just fine. Some were snug on my hips but not embarrassing at all and no issues buckling in . Had a great time.

3 days post-op - can only drink warm liquids
I am just about 12 weeks out and I had an issue with cold or room temperature water. The plain water made my stomach queasy. I tried different brands and different temperature but it was all the same. So I tried several different water flavors until I found something that made water easier.

Hate to brag, but I'm so advanced ;)
I am 9 weeks post op. I do not take biotin because there is always a chance of growing hair where u dont want it. But b4 surgery I used to get out of the shower with a large clump of hair to throw in the trash. After surgery the shedding minimized a lot. Just recently the shedding has started to increase again. But I figure if I didn't go bald b4, I will b fine during these next few months. Not to mention that I have so much hair I only wash every 3rd day to save on shampoo and conditioner.

one month post op
I am two months out. I do not have issues with food, but I have trouble with water and protien. Plain water makes my stomach queasy and so does protien shakes. I mix some water enhancing drops to make it bearable and I have tried so many different proteins but they all seem too sweet. So I just have to close my eyes and drink up so that I am meeting my docs requirements. Its just a trial and error process. Good luck to u all.

Salad at 6 weeks!
I was also told no ice berg lettuce. Along with the no nutritional value its a little harder for the new little tummies to digest.

Protein
I am 7 weeks post op and still have a hard time with protien shakes. I eat protien at every meal but my surgeon requires 50-60 grams of protien drinks. I have tried several different brands suggested on this site but I haven't found one that doesn't make my stomach queasy. So good luck. Wishing u the best.

Long-term effects?
During my 6 month program we were told that the research only goes back about 5 years. It is the newer procedure for weight loss so ur research will b limited at this point.
