Here I Am.....3 Months Later
I think he is an excellent surgeon. I had no pain when I woke up after surgery. However when u get to his office u can usually expect a long wait time and very quick appt. I think he is just so confident in what he does that he overlooks some of the little things that we may find important.

Protein shake taking for ever to drink
Just an FYI It has been said that ur body can only absorb/process 30 grams of protien at a time. So if ur drink has 15g per ounce then its a waste if u plan on drinking more than 2 ounces at a time. And after surgery when u go to ur mostly protien diet u will most likely get constipated. But good luck in ur journey it will all be worth it.

Post sleeve skin issues
I had a rash in my first month or two. I just put anti itch cream and made sure not to scratch. It lasted like 3 weeks.

Should I be able to ride on the rides, or no?
I just visited six flags last week. I am 5'3" and weigh 179. I have wide hips and with my weight loss I fit in the seats just fine. Some were snug on my hips but not embarrassing at all and no issues buckling in . Had a great time.

3 days post-op - can only drink warm liquids
I am just about 12 weeks out and I had an issue with cold or room temperature water. The plain water made my stomach queasy. I tried different brands and different temperature but it was all the same. So I tried several different water flavors until I found something that made water easier.

Hate to brag, but I'm so advanced ;)
I am 9 weeks post op. I do not take biotin because there is always a chance of growing hair where u dont want it. But b4 surgery I used to get out of the shower with a large clump of hair to throw in the trash. After surgery the shedding minimized a lot. Just recently the shedding has started to increase again. But I figure if I didn't go bald b4, I will b fine during these next few months. Not to mention that I have so much hair I only wash every 3rd day to save on shampoo and conditioner.

Anyone in the Riverside California area?
Hi. My name is Debi and I am in San Bernardino. I had my surgery on April 14 2014.

one month post op
I am two months out. I do not have issues with food, but I have trouble with water and protien. Plain water makes my stomach queasy and so does protien shakes. I mix some water enhancing drops to make it bearable and I have tried so many different proteins but they all seem too sweet. So I just have to close my eyes and drink up so that I am meeting my docs requirements. Its just a trial and error process. Good luck to u all.

Salad at 6 weeks!
I was also told no ice berg lettuce. Along with the no nutritional value its a little harder for the new little tummies to digest.

Protein
I am 7 weeks post op and still have a hard time with protien shakes. I eat protien at every meal but my surgeon requires 50-60 grams of protien drinks. I have tried several different brands suggested on this site but I haven't found one that doesn't make my stomach queasy. So good luck. Wishing u the best.

Long-term effects?
During my 6 month program we were told that the research only goes back about 5 years. It is the newer procedure for weight loss so ur research will b limited at this point.

Fruits and veggies post op
I am now 6weeks out and at 5 weeks I was given my new diet plan which includes fresh fruit and veggies. Of coarse u do protien first so there really is no room for them unless u eat them as one of ur meals. I have on occasion because the cool refreshing feeling of fruit is nice on these hot days.

5 months Post Op
Thanks for ur recipe. Pre surgery I juiced kale spinach cucumber green apple lemon celery and a little ginger root. It is a good mix. How far out (post op) were u before u began juicing?

Acne
There is also a product called Panoxyl. It is sold at Walmart and it is in the face cleaner section. It comes in a bar or in a cream and it is for your face chest and back. The dermatologist had me get it for my son's acne and it helps.

Oxygen and Frustration
I have never heard of someone having an oxygen tank. I only had the oxygen my first night in the hospital. Call the company and tell them to come pick up their equipment. U no longer need it.

Anyone having problems with jaw or teeth
I had sensitivity in some of my teeth after surgery. It almost felt as if I had some cavities without fillings. And it would hurt to brush my teeth. It lasted about 3 weeks for me.

WARNING: TMI.... This constipation aint no joke!
My surgeon said at 3weeks out that milk of magniesa was okay. And it helped. I also added a gummy fiber supplement. Because adequate water and fiber help keep you as regular as you are going to get.
-
constipation
I take colace daily still as well along with a gummy fiber supplement. I am not as regular as I used to b. But at least when its time it is not painful
-
constipation
Buy some milk of magniesa. Take the suggested dosage. It took about 6-7 hours before it worked for me. I was also suggested to try a warm water enema or sepositorie. I tried so much before I finally went. And when I did go it wasn't a pleasant feeling.
