Tomorrow (april 16th) is the big day

Recommended Posts

Hello all. I know should probably be sleeping right now seeing that I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am. I am so nervous. This has been an almost two year process and it's finally happening. No more playing off the heavy girl jokes and laughing along no more panting for air because you can't walk up the steps at work I know it will not be easy but I am so ready to begin this amazing journey. Wish me luck everyone..... I just don't know how I'm goin to sleep tonight

No worries, you'll get to take a nap for an hour or so around 5:30 am tomorrow :D

Check back when you're on the other side, K?

Bibi<3 you need to just get up and walk a bit in the house, but rest as much as you can sweetie...make sure you are sipping on something all day, okay!!! take the meds that were given to you...for the first few days and the pain will ease up. Let me know if you need anything...best wishes.

Definitely move around to get the gas out. It should be all gone by day 4 and you will feel much better! I made sure to take my pain meds like clock work and I wasn't shy about asking for more when I ran out because I was still in pain

You are so right I'm on day 4 and I feel so much better I think I'm kinda gettin the hang on it now. I stepped on the scale just to take and peek and noticed I lost 5 pounds since Wednesday. I am so determined more than ever now to keep going with guns blazing. Thank you all for your kind words and great advice ❤️

Congratulations on your surgery -- glad you're feeling better. The walking as much as possible really does help with everything. Best wishes!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
