Hi. I was sleeved 10/21/13. HW 250 lbs SW 246lbs. At Christmas time I got one of those fancy scales that measures fat, Water, muscle and bone. So, on Dec 26th I weighed 206.6 lbs, bmi 34.4... scale measurements = fat 43.6, water 43, muscle 25 and bone 3.1. I kind of stopped tracking those numbers because they didn't seem to be changing. Fast forward to today. .. CW 175, bmi 29.1, fat 36.1, water 46.4, muscle 25.7 and bone 3.6. It's hreat to be able to track my progress in ways other than just scale or bmi! I still really need to work on muscle, which I know. I was pleasantly surprised to see bone mass go up though. I'm moving in two weeks and my new apartment has a fitness center. .. I just can't hardly wait to get my flabby but into it!

How does it measure bone mass? Is it by electrical conduction that it does all this? I have a hard time trusting those things because they depend SO heavily on constant hydration.... I'd never heard of one that does bone mass tho!

Yes, it has metal plates that you stand on with bare feet. I don't know how accurate it is but it seems very consistent and in line with my progress. I just thought it was cool!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
