I'm taking Centrum fruit chewables, I can tolerate them. When you first bite into them they taste like a skittle. The after taste is a little blah, but drinking Water or eating something right after takes care of it. I can't tolerate my Vitamin C chewables those make me throw up.

I take the Trader Joe's High Potency chewable multi's and I think they taste great. Plus they are lower calorie, lower carb, and lower cost than other chewable or Gummy multi's that I have seen.

I take two of the trader joes chewable vitamins per my dietitian's instructions. They are all Water soluble Vitamins, so there isn't a risk of over dosing. Apparently as sleeve patients, we need to consume over the 100% recommended as the surgery prevents us from getting all of the nutrients through food. (iI also take extra B1, B12, Iron, Biotin and calcium.) I avoided all vitamins most of my life because I am super sensitive to that Vitamin after taste and Multi Vitamins made me nauseous. Prenatal vitamins were awful and would make me puke! The trader joes chewable has a pleasant fruity taste and they don't make me feel nauseous. As a bonus, they are fairly inexpensive. Children's vitamins (Flintstones) and gummy vitamins do not provide the recommended adult dosage you need. I guess they are better than nothing, but if you're really concerned about nutrition and your vitamin Intake, i wouldn't recommend them.

Apparently as sleeve patients, we need to consume over the 100% recommended as the surgery prevents us from getting all of the nutrients through food.

Just to clarify, most people sleeved or not do not get all of the recommended amounts of vitamins/minerals through food. Hence most people should take a Vitamin. Due to our lessened capacity, vitamin deficiencies are possible but we are not "prevented" from absorbing all our nutrients through food. Sleevers generally do not have absorption problems.

Children's vitamins (Flintstones) and gummy vitamins do not provide the recommended adult dosage you need. I guess they are better than nothing, but if you're really concerned about nutrition and your vitamin Intake, i wouldn't recommend them.

Children's vitamins are labeled for both children and adult consumption by the FDA. They are appropriate to take as an adult. Flintstones complete with Iron (purple bottle) are recommended by my Nut. There is debate on the efficacy/quality of Gummy vitamins. My Nut does not recommend them as of yet.

The original poster asked for recommendations of a Multivitamin we liked the taste of. I threw in the information regarding nutrients as there are plenty of choices on the market that taste good, but are not the "best" option nutrient wise. The one thing I do know, is that there are many different opinions shared on this board, and it's wonderful that we have each other to learn from. If people have the Internet access to read this forum, then they also have the capability to do their own research and make the best informed decision for themselves. post-203485-0-50526000-1397059268_thumb.jpg post-203485-0-22515900-1397059306_thumb.jpg

Hey everyone! Finally took a trip over to trader joes and picked up the Vitamins. Taste is good surprisingly! But I felt nauseous after trying it, I'm hoping it was just because I was on an empty stomach :( anyone have this before?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
