Mi Doctor – call hospital before surgery

Recommended Posts

Did anyone having or had surgery at Mi Doctor Hospital in Tijuana call the hospital before to be sure you are on their schedule for surgery? Or did you just trust and everything worked out?

My surgery is coming up quickly and just wondered if I should call ahead?

I didn't call ... Everything was fine. I actually went into surgery first because I was having anxiety about the surgery.

I had surgery there last month. I did not call before, just trusted that everything would be OK and it was. But, looking back, I'm surprised was as calm and trusting as I was-- not typical for my personality :-)

I had surgery on April 15th, 2014 my Dr. was Louisiana Valenzuela, MD. I had an amazing experience. The staff was wonderful and they knew what they were doing. I went through this group http://www.mexicobariatriccenter.com/

I paid a little more but my care was the best I have ever had. You should have a contact person on this side of the boarder that I could talk to, so I didn't feel like I needed to call the hospital.

Good luck to you and I hope your experience is a wonderful as mine was.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
