  13. Hi all.. I'm starting to regret my choice to have gastric sleeve. I'm so frustrated; I had my surgery on March 31st, this Tuesday I will be four weeks post op. Nothing I eat, with the exception of SF pudding, SF jello, yogurt, and soup sit well with me. I've tried tuna mixed w/ hummus and it sits in my throat like at any minute it's going to come up, salmon, same thing. I've tried eggs and that was not a good choice.. I feel like I'm living on protein drinks, water, and that's all. I'm bound and determined to get healthy. I wanted this surgery for 2 years and now that it's done I feel crappy almost all of the time. I'm so tired, never have any energy, want to work out but can't even imagine how to do so because my lack of energy. I just want to know if there is light at the end of the tunnel. When will I be able to feel normal? I see everyone posting how they love their sleeves and it was best decision that they've made.. I want to feel that way too. I know that I'm whining but it's how I am feeling. Is there really light at the end? When can I expect things to get better?

  15. I'll be 5 weeks post op on Tuesday. When did everyone start eating salad? I'm really craving it. Thank you
  16. Hi.. I know that we can not take NSAID's. My doctor prescribed me a flector patch for my foot. Is it safe to use it since technically I'm not orally taking it and going into my stomach? It's just like a sticker for my foot... I have no clue.. Insight needed. Thank you.
  17. I'm 3 weeks pot op and still do not have the energy that I had before surgery. I think once I'm able to get in enough protein I should be ok. Are you getting in enough water and protein?
  18. I just finished grilling some chicken (garlic salt, pepper, then spray the chicken with a light coating of Pam or olive oil spray) then I cut them up and let them them cool. Mean while I puréed 2 zucchini, one small red onion, about 3/4 mushrooms, 5 cups of baby's spinach. Each time I added the vegetables to the blender I would add chicken broth. Once the chicken cooled, I puréed it as well. I added salt and pepper to the soup mixture and simmered it on the stove. The grilled chicken taste really stands out. It is like a green color but other then that it is really good. I separated it for my lunch for the next 7 days.
  19. I'm missing chips and salsa, chimichanga .. Mexican food. I can just taste it in my mouth.
  20. Dr. Ismael Cabrera in Tijuana Mexico.
  21. Dr Cabrera is awesome. I was nervous as heck and having severe anxiety so they had me take a Xanax to calm me down and then when right into surgery. He will do the nervous patients first.
  22. Dr Cabrera is awesome! I had surgery 3/31
  23. I didn't call ... Everything was fine. I actually went into surgery first because I was having anxiety about the surgery.
  24. I had dr. Cabrera too. He was awesome. The nurses are not too good with finding veins and such. Had to get poked three different times in three different area and still have the bruises. I was sleeved on 3/31. Other then that it was perfect. Was treated very well.
  25. Only my mom and husband know. I feel like its a very personal thing and also none of anyone's concern. I also didn't want to feel like I needed to explain myself to anyone.
  26. I wore it for mine.
  27. Hi all.. I just had my surgery on the 31st of March. That puts me at 7 days out. I'm having a very difficult time.. No had hunger or feelings of hunger from my stomach. My problem is I am always feeling faint and weak. I am getting the recommended dose for water and protein as well as taking my vitamins. I have no energy and I go back to work tomorrow. I have pain still but honestly, I feel like that is the least of my worries. Please tell me when the weakness and faint feelings will subside?
