Is it ok to take penicillin in pill form after VSG ? I have strep throat..

I never had a problem swallowing pills post op. I just have to be careful not to overfill Miss Tummy with too much water.

I just went thru this yesterday and you need to get the penicillin in liquid form. You new tummy will not be able to absorb the antibiotic. It is not about being able to swallow them, it's about them being effective.

I have been on antibiotics - huge horse pills. I use a pull cutter and cut in 7 pieces and use a straw to swallow them down with fail bored vitamin water. It's a chore but better than crushing which tastes awful!!

I've been on antibiotics since my sleeve on 2/18. I didn't have any problems.
