Hello. I was banded jan 15 and have lost 42lbs. The other day I over ate and felt a tightness under my bra underwire. After feeling uncomfortable it finally subsided. I am feeling some residual bloating and discomfort 2 days later. Is that normal? It doesn't hurt just feels uncomfortable. Now I totally understand the power of the band. I'm certainly not going to over eat again. You guys don't think my band slipped do you? I would be in more pain I guess.

I doubt the band slipped. I have had that feeling under my bra as well. It's usually a sign to stop eating. If you continue to have pain or vomiting call your Doc.

tmf is right. You more than likely did not have a slip, and it will not be the last-time you feel this feeling.

I wasn't vomiting or anything like that. I feel fine now. I guess that's how the band talks to us lol. I didn't get that feeling until about 20 min after I finished eating. Guess it was working it's way down

Hi there, good to know that sensation and your body's signals. If you had one more bite of food it may have become a true "stuck" episode. For me, that will only resolve when I spit-up whatever was in there. This has happened five times now since banding in November. Maybe I'm a slow learner! Most recent was just this weekend when I got stuck on chicken. A lot of people report difficulty with chewing white meat chicken well enough. Usually I cook with chicken thighs but this time it was chicken breast done in a nice sauce, etc. It took a couple of hours to get to the point where I spit up the food which had not even entered the stomach. For me, this is pretty violent and all-around miserable while I wait for the outcome. I sipped tea to make it happen as I could tell it just was not going to go through. Afterwards I feel fine but am "tight" for a day or two.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
