Hello! I am 2 weeks post op as of yesterday and I am not losing any weight! In fact the scale says I have gained a couple pounds. I am trying so hard. I'm worried that the sleeve isn't gonna work for me! I was put on regular Proteins on Friday by my dr. I don't think I'm eating to much as my stomach wouldn't allow it anyhow.

I would love to hear from some of you sleevers! How soon after you had the sleeve did you start losing weight? Thanks everyone!!

@@sbailey1,

Not to worry, this is very common. Many factors at play here, your body is complex and it takes a while for it to get it's "ducks in a row". There are many posts like yours and have yet to find anyone who the sleeve actually didn't work for. It is a creepy feeling though. It is the fear all of us have down deep. We have been to a lot of dead ends.

This is a horse of a different color, though.

My weight loss was down, up, stall, down, up, down, etc. in about a year and a half I reached goal, check my signature. I am past two and into my third year...fat stays off. I work at it with diet and exercise....it is not easy but it is possible...before it was impossible.

You will succeed!

My first month sucked. I felt like such a loser that everyone had these huge one month numbers except me. But then my second month was awesome. Hang in there!

My surgeon told me to not expect any weight loss the first 2 weeks post op because they pump you up with fluids in the hospital and it takes a little while to get rid of that.

Be patient ... You will lose weight.

Get off the scale for a while. Focus on the process. It sounds like you've got it all under control. Don't let the scale dictate what you are doing right. In a few weeks, you will be pleasantly surprised!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
