I'm about 11weeks post op and feeling great, been out to eat a couple times but usually just got Soup. Yesterday went to Applebee's with the family and my youngest was looking at the children's menu and said hey dad they have a 4oz steak that would be perfect for you and it comes with mozzarella sticks, which we could share if you want. we all started laughing then after thinking about it I was like that's actually a good idea so I went ahead and ordered it, you could choose from a bunch of different sides but since I knew the steak would be plenty so I got the mozzarella sticks for the boys. let me tell you that steak was the perfect size for me and the price was great, which was around $6, will defiantly be ordering this again.

I eat at Applebees with my mom all the time. I usually order the french onion Soup without the cheese and bread. I also order a side of grilled shrimp. I take home what ever I don't eat. Works out great. I will have to look at the child's menu for the steak. ;)

I've been out a couple of times and just brought home the extras. I hate paying for a big meal that I know I won't eat. Today for lunch I ordered from the kid menu and it was perfect!

My hospital gave me a card to carry with me that discreetly shows I had weight loss surgery so I can order off a kid menu, just in case I get questioned. Not all restaurants will do it, though.

My first time out was a Tapas restaurant. It was perfect with the small plates. I ordered pork meatballs which were great! Last night we went out and I ate a mussel appetizer for dinner

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
