It's crazy to think that it has been a year already. My starting weight was 235lbs and my current weight is 175lbs. If you had asked me last year if 60lbs was a good loss in a year I probably would have said no. However, I am honestly thrilled with the progress I have made and couldn't ask for more at this point. 60lbs gone is a great feeling and one I am going to Celebrate.

Congrats! Your starting weight is close to mine (I just had sx 2 days ago) and I would love to be 175!!

Can you talk alittle bit about your journey this past year (ups and downs) and what your eating /exercise routine is like today?

Fantastic! So happy for you -- what an amazing change. Really appreciate the inspiration about now. I am three months out and love thinking about my one year anniversary and where I'll be. Hopefully as successful as you!

I am also hoping to be down 60 lbs at my 1 yr bandiversary! that's still a whole child you've lost in weight...think about things that weigh that much...

-One of my grandkids holding an 8 lb dumbell
-The average sized Husky
- 240 sticks of butter
- 3 of J-Lo's butt
- 120 smurfs
- 640 oreos
- 3 spare tires
- 7.5 human heads

- 40 dozen eggs

- 8 gallons of Water

- 4 Thankgiving Turkeys

- a bushel of wheat

Ok..I may be going overboard but you get the idea :)

Try carrying any of those items around for a day and remember you used to do it every day!

oh yes I know exactly how you feel.. I have also been banded a little over a year I am holding at 60 lbs lost but honey I feel like a new person. I have been taken off of diabetes meds and high cholesterol and blood pressure. I can walk all over the place and now I am doing Zumba Dance. I didn't think 60 lbs in a year was so great either but I was wrong. You are doing great and you will meet or exceed your goal this year. Keep your eye on the prize.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
