Ok, I am new here. I was sleeved on 12/18/2013. Overall a great experience. I am down 26lbs. I realize there is a head thing going on here, but the scale says I have not lost a pound in almost 2 weeks!!! SERIOUSLY! I am eating and drinking as I was told. No cheats.... what is this? I am active, but have not started the exercise component really- and I know I should- but it just hasn't happened. Has anyone else had this experience. I am going to be so upset if I am stuck here forever.

Using the search feature, you can read all about stalls. They are very common as your body readjusts, and if you're meeting your dietary goals, you will very likely begin losing again in no time. Hang in there!

All of us experience this. Stay the course, keeping your Protein high, carbs low and at least 64 oz of Water. You will get back to losing in a week or so. Patience!!

I am eight weeks out and I had the same exact experience as you. The scale would NOT move for two weeks. I upped my Protein. From 60 to 70 grams and went to the gym and pushed myself with cardio and weights for one hour , 5 times a week and I lost 3 pounds that first week I did this. So for me exercise did it for me. P..s. . It is also good for us to exercise to tone our bodies.

Quit weighing, follow plan and RELAX! Seriously. It works!!! Focus on doing things like moving around, stay busy! Best of luck!

The dreaded stall. They happen. And they suck every single time. Even though I know it's part of the process, I make myself crazy. Every. Single. Time.

Been there, my friend. We all have. Your body needs to readjust and is likely in a little bit of shock after all this craziness. :) Put the scale away. It'll drive you crazy at first, but you'll be happy you did. Bring it out once a week to weigh but no more than that. If you don't think you can do that, ask a family member to hide it or put it in the trunk of your car - somewhere that it's difficult to get to. You're doing great! It's taken me 2 months to get down 26 pounds, so you're ahead of me! ;) Hang in there!

What we all say. Stalls happen. Relax, follow the plan and don't worry about the scale.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
