Hey everybody! I have been lurking in the different forums and I have learned alot from you all. Now that my time has come to hopefully join the losing team I want to introduce my self. I'm Ke, 30 years old female and from Louisiana.

Tomorrow I will be going to my consultation to meet with the dietitian and surgon. I have taken my first step in the WLS process by finding out my insurance will cover the surgery. My insurance says that with 40+ bmi and a mental health screening the surgery should be approved rather quickly. I know that during the consultation I may have other barriers to arise but I'm covered there as well. I just saw my PCP recently and he recommended me for the surgey. Anyhow, I am super excited right now and cannot wait for tomorrow!

I won't be to extreme today. I'll wait to be high strung tomorrow when I can tell you guys how it went. XOXO

Mrs V. I've heard great things about Dr. Lavin. In fact I have a friend who had her lap band done by him. She raves his services. Dr. Gachassin in Lafayette will be doing my sleeve.

Good Morning Folks! Yesterday was my consultation which went well. I was worried that I would be thrown a cruve ball but to my suprise it was smooth sailing. I have the the freedom to be flexable with my surgery date so right now its May 27. I know that seems far away but the way time is flying it won't be long.

Welcome! Congrats on making this decision to a healthier life! May will seriously be here before you know it! I started my process in August and was shocked when January came around and it was my turn! Definitely stick around the boards-- you'll learn tons! :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
