  3. Hey April Sleevers!! Ish just got real for me! Here's a quick recap of my journey: I'm 31 female from Louisiana. My consultation was on the Jan 27th. I found out I had the h pylori bacteria in February don't rem the date. I started my antibiotics on the 1st day of Lent, because there was no way I couldnt part take in Mardi Gras without alcohol. Anyway, I finished that on the 19th of March and had my scope done on the 21st. Today I went to my pre-op class.. so much info in so little time. Nothing that I haven't heard from people in these forums and just by doing a little research. My surgery is on the 14th so I'm starting my pre-op diet today! Lets get'er done!! I'm super excited and wish everyone the best of luck during their journey! XOXO

  7. Wooohooo time is going by so fast April Sleevers!! We're already in the second week of March. I'm in my last week of antibiotics, can't wait till that's over; however, it is preparing me for taking Vitamins daily. I know some people are still waiting for approval, or to start your two week preop (classes, doc appts, etc), or just waiting.. but, "Oh The Places We Will Go" Dr. Seuss, once we wake up from surgery! Yeah I'm HAPPY, clap along if you feel like happyness is the truth!! Okay sorry for being cheesy lol Welcome to all the new comers!

  14. I am surely becoming more and more excited! My date is April the 14th. As of right now I have the h pylori bacteria and will be starting my 14 days of antibiotics on next Wednesday the 5th. I wanted to wait till after Mardi Grad because I want to enjoy myself. After that I will have an endoscopy done on the 21st. Then on the 1st of April I have my 3 hour class, on the 7th I have my appointment with the surgeon and on the 14th I start a new life!!!... I'm excited for all of us and I wish everyone the best on their journey!!
  15. Hi Cassandra I'm having my surgery on the 14th of February in Lafayette La. We should keep in touch.
  16. Good Morning Folks! Yesterday was my consultation which went well. I was worried that I would be thrown a cruve ball but to my suprise it was smooth sailing. I have the the freedom to be flexable with my surgery date so right now its May 27. I know that seems far away but the way time is flying it won't be long.
  17. Mrs V. I've heard great things about Dr. Lavin. In fact I have a friend who had her lap band done by him. She raves his services. Dr. Gachassin in Lafayette will be doing my sleeve.

  22. Hey everybody! I have been lurking in the different forums and I have learned alot from you all. Now that my time has come to hopefully join the losing team I want to introduce my self. I'm Ke, 30 years old female and from Louisiana. Tomorrow I will be going to my consultation to meet with the dietitian and surgon. I have taken my first step in the WLS process by finding out my insurance will cover the surgery. My insurance says that with 40+ bmi and a mental health screening the surgery should be approved rather quickly. I know that during the consultation I may have other barriers to arise but I'm covered there as well. I just saw my PCP recently and he recommended me for the surgey. Anyhow, I am super excited right now and cannot wait for tomorrow! I won't be to extreme today. I'll wait to be high strung tomorrow when I can tell you guys how it went. XOXO
