Post-Op January 2014 Losers Club!

I thought I'd move us over to this side where we can share stories, weight loss, concerns and just be generally supportive! So, I'm 4 days post-op and feeling really good. I was really sick post-op days 1&2 due to intestinal swelling and barium sitting in my pouch (relatively uncommon complication) but once I finally got rid the barium, things changed dramatically. Very little pain. I can lay flat on my side with a flat pillow supporting my stomach. Went for a 20 minute slow walk with my 6-year old today. No problem with protein shakes or broth. No nausea at all. I know many of our pre-oppers are nervous about life post-op so I wanted to encourage you! How's everyone else feeling?

Syntax nectar in fuzzy navel has been my lifesaver! No protein taste and it's like a juice! I am so happy that I found it!

Where do you get it?

Where do you get it?

You can get it at the Vitamin Shoppe.

I got mine at vitamin.com, it was cheaper.

I get syntax nectar proteins from amazon.

I'm 36 days post op. just starting soft food. Still have problems with nausea especially in the morning. I can start adding soft vegs and fruits. I'm pureeing them and doing better. Start wt 515 surgery wt 448, current wt 400.

I'm still having problems with nausea also. I feel like I'm either nauseous or sick from trying to eat. My doctor says thi will get better when the pouch heals. I just want to eat something and feel good.

Congratulations on you weight loss! That is amazing!

Congrats on the weight loss! That's great!

TMI Alert.

I seem to only have nausea when I need to have a bowel movement. I guess it's a good warning system, but I hope it goes away.

Anyone else have this issue?

4 weeks post op and down 40 pounds! I cannot believe it. I am down a pant size and down a bra size too. Mushy foods suck and guacamole has too many spices for me to tolerate.

Wow! I haven't heard of that yet. I've seen people whose nose started running when they were full.

It's crazy how much this surgery affects us.

I decided to order this as it will be a nice change from the amplified wheybolic protein from GNC...it tastes like chocolate milk but I need something like juice (also something I want to mix with water). Thanks for the tip.

I got some syntrax nectar samples from my nutritionist in double stuffed cookie flavor but haven't tried it yet.

I am 14 days post op. I go on my treadmill 3X a day for 15 min.

I wish I felt that good. I'm only a week out but I have no energy. I'm struggling to get in the protein I need and I just feel washed out. I still have that painful feeling when I eat or drink. Help. Please will this too pass? I hope so I hate feeling this way. Any help or comments would be great. Thanks
