    Softeners

Hi pookybear I had to get on iron tablets 5x a week what has worked for me that is a natural stool softener is this tea I get from the Asian store call ballerina tea. Don't get the extra strengh one it gives you stomach cramps but the regular strength work great. My nationalist said it was fine. It's all herbs and you drink a cup of tea and depending on how backed up you are you will have a bowel movement that day. Good luck
  2. I think you already know the answer to this question. But here goes. It sounds like your were settling to begin with due to your weight. Your young motivated and going places. He's happy staying in the same place the rest of his life. You guys have different goal. That's not even touching the weight loss at all. But him walking in front of you at the mall!!?? Come on!! I don't care how many times he apologies. He was embarrassed to be seen with you. I bet he wasn't embarrassed accept half you mortgage money bill money and what not ! You deserve better than that. If he couldn't accept you with your weight he doesn't deserve you without it move on. Follow your career dreams do you ! I bet when you come back to visit years later he will be in the same place you left him. My BF loved me with the weight and as I'm losing he still loves me even though I'm getting pointy according to him. Lol. Love is lofe sweetie real love is unconditionally.

    Just out of curiosity...

I'm pretty much the same as you about 400-600 calories I try to make sure Protein is eaten first and are good choices. If I exercise that day I may actually be in the negative or only around 100 plus calories I'm pretty much the same as you about 400-600 calories I try to make sure protein is eaten first and are good choices. Monday the 9th

Well your also trying to shrink your liver with the liquid diet. It makes the surgery go easier for the surgeon to get to all the positions they need to get too. It's not to torture u but your going to have 6 to 7 access port holes. That's how much he's moving the laparscopic instruments around in side you to get to the whole stomach and put the band or staples in place with no leaks. Don't do yourself a disservice don't cheat ! your recovery will be so much better if you don't cheat

    Stages of gastricbypass

Thanks you for posting this I thought I was going crazy. After the first "what the hell did I just do stage" . I also went though a mourning stage as well I had lost friend which was food. I was sad because something that had been a huge part of my life was now gone or at least cut down a lot. Food was what got me in this mess to begin with but it didn't matter. I missed it. That part is getting better I'm only 4 weeks post op so I'm still in my baby stages but now at least I know I'm not going crazy with the mood swings and being weepy. I'm still floored by how little I eat now. Only 3 to maybe 4 bites. It's mind blowing that plate of food is long gone. My mate has been very supportive but I did show him this post so he doesn't think I'm going mental lol. He's the best, reminds me to drink take my Vitamins. I'm glad he's in my corner. It helps to have at least one good cheerleader that believes in you.
  7. I'm so sorry your having a rough go if it. It's slow going. I had my surgery Feb 14 and it was a bypass. First week was really hard I'm pain and could hardly drink enough fluids to keep out of dehydration stage. I can honestly tell you. I also went to a weird depression about the loss of my old friend food. We are all social creatures and food was a big part of our lives before. But fear not this too shall pass. Your have to drink you have to get your Protein Shakes in some docs say one a day for 7 weeks same say 3 a day for 7 weeks. Whatever your doc says follow. Some days it's all I can do to get my to shakes in plus my 4-6 16oz of some type of Fluid (warer, crystal light, broth, Popsicles. I'm lucky if I can get 4 16oz of fluid in a day. I want to know when the heck do I eat??? It's hard trust me it is but you can do it. You can!! Drink, move and keep moving forward. This too will pass and we are all on the road to a new thinner healthier you.

Help. Please will this too pass? I hope so I hate feeling this way. Any help or comments would be great. Thanks
