  • I agree with that because eating should never be guilty feelings. You have to accept that you just ate it and move on.

what a timely post terry. i was feeling so guilty last night. i ate a bit of hot fudge sundae. it wasn't much but geez the way i felt you would of thought i took the band out and ate a gallon of ice cream. i figured the amount of ice cream and yes the hot fudge and i actually still fell under my food count for the day. not that i am going to make it a habit but i am now eating 75%less than i was eating before and that included the ice cream so i am not going to feel guilty anymore. nice article.

Thanks Terry! Great post

The band only works on physical hunger, very few people on this board got fat from physical hunger. We need to recognize why we eat.

That is so very true for me Terry!

There are times when stressed or upset and when I just feel like i need to give myself a break that I turn to food. I am not hungry and if I ask myself why I am eating something I know pretty well why.

I try to combat the feeling, and maybe drink something or substitute something for that feeling, but I have to be honest there are times when I just need to have that comfort that I am seeking.

I try to make it a good choice, and sometimes if I really really want it and there is NO reasoning with my head or my heart I have it and I don't feel guilty about it. I know why I had it, and I don't beat myself up about it and I move on and get back on track.

Life is out there and it tastes pretty good, so I take my bite out of it and I don't regret it. I just get back on my path and move on. I know that the weight I have lost is GONE this time forever.

It might be slow in coming off, but I know it's gone for good!
